I hate windows live movie maker. It works good with only audio and images; If i add a video and play it back, it only plays one second and and lags extremely badly for the rest. It is just absolute garbage when it comes to playback of video.

Is Live Movie Maker and Movie Maker 2.6 backwards-compatible? Say I wanted to edit everything in Live but add a narration, could I export or open the movie in MM 2.6 and just add it to the movie I edited in Live that way?

Windows Live looks like complete shit. No timeline??? Pathetic That means poor syncronization.. It's effectively just a slideshow maker. All it will do is encourage people to make dumb slideshows to fill up the YouTube servers, so eventually they will get so crowded that they will charge us for uploading! Microsoft idiot developers.

If you load 1080p videos into windows live media player, it lags like balls and then crashes. And don't tell me "Oh no, no, it's just your computer specs." I have a ATI Raedon 5570 HD Video Card, 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM, and an AMD Dual-Core 3.0 GHZ processor. Windows, shame on you for such a shitty program.

i've got windows live movie maker but i find that the sound qaulity isn't very good

even in 1080p ? it just doesn't have that crystal qaulity sound that i hear on other videos....any suggestions or advice would be really helpfull :)

Hi, Im not being funny, but youve got this all wrong. Most important in window live, there is a button saying aspect ratio, when you put it on WIDESCREEN it goes into 16:9, my video's are using windows live, they are 1080, and can do widescreen. Next, is the audio, if you go to edit audio, there is a fade in and fade out button. Next time you go to make a video comparing two programs make sure you actually know how to use it.

there has not been changed a lot between Windows Vista and Windows 7, only the layout has changed and the system's problems have been solved

@TiKToK1414 Glad I could help... but you didn't know about Prism Video Converter? It can take your MP4 files and make them something like AVI or FLV. You should go check that out.

@DevilGirl2014 iTunes "locks" their music so it can only be used on apple devices. Its just another thing they try to do to keep them the top music store in the world, and preventing as much copyright infringement as possible.

Good news though, there is a way to get around it. And seeing how you subscribed Ill make a video of it sooner or later.

This is a fantastic tutorial of comparison, well done and I learned heaps here.

I remember a time and it was not that long ago when editing a video on a PC was a nightmare, these days its so different.

Sort of sad that MM live has lost the voice over option.

There are tags you add to stretch out videos which have full letter boxing going on, thats easy to fix
