@janeway529 Yes, these pictures are from Loyola Marymount University's Taize program in Huesman Chapel. I learned about Taize while I was a student there. These pictures date back to sometime before 2005, when I graduated. I still play flute for them occasionally. Good eye! ;)

@eivega I was a student and sacristan there until I graduated last year. The Taize cross they use now is a bit different. It's just a plain cross. Thank you for posting this video. It definitely brings back memories. :)

@janeway529 They switched to the plain wooden cross after the cross in this video got stolen. However, they have since purchased a new one in the same Byzantine style as before. I will be there tonight playing flute again and will pay attention to which cross they use.

I just heard about Taizé last night from a travel show. It was only for a few seconds, but I wanted to know more about it. If anyone has been there before, please let me know about your personal experiences. Also if anyone is over 30, I'd love to hear about your experiences as well. This place is amazing. I went their once in 2005 just before the founder (Brother Roger) was murdered. I am also going back this summer with my church youth group, I am one of the leaders. Even if you are not religious this is a great place to go. It is very peaceful and a wonderful way to meet new people from all walks of life.

I can say it´s amazing. I was there 4 years in a row, 1 week during autum. I really found my self.

Hi :) I was in Taize 17 years ago...but it was unforgotten experience for me. Taize left a permanent sign in my soul. The place is open for all people including adults, but as everybody knows Taize community and young people love each other in absolutely exceptional way :) More information on w w w d o t taize d o t f r. Go there!!! And you will meet GOD coming to you in other people from all over the world. Don't hesitate, just go !!! :D
