  • Nice version of a great tune. I've covered this in a couple of bands myself :-)

  • Do you have any more videos of this?! I totally got a drum stick from this concert like right here.

  • I rarely say this about covers, but this might be better than the original...

  • Simone was good, but I would've liked to see Ian singing with Conor.

  • Bright Eyes and the Felice Brothers covering Tom Petty? I can't even comprehend how fucking awesome this is

  • People Downtown Sure Are Friendly- Pony Boy please listen to it, its me and my brother we're alot like the felice bro's. first song and its almost like a one hit wonder except our songs will always be good

  • Here you have some of the best in modern band music performing one of the heartiest rock and roll songs ever. F-ing money.

  • ah the good old days....

  • Is that Dr.House singing back up vocals......he sure gets around pretty good,in my opinion....

  • 'Cause I swear that I'm dying, slowly- but it's happening.

oh, bright eyes, you always know how i feel :]

  • Between the hat, the beard and peacock strutting the blue hat guy looks just like Mike Love from the beach boys.

  • Best two lines to this epic song:

"sun downs are golden and then they fade away..."

"sometimes you're happy/ sometimes you cry/ half me is ocean half of me is sky"

  • Original one is pretty frickin good, but I think they might do a better LIVE version than any of Tom Petty's live versions of this song that I've seen on youtube, because he always sings the song so withheld and acousticish. Anyways, part of what makes this song good is the lyrics, which Petty wrote.

  • i would so very much like to see bright eyes live in a concert..or any other conor's project..he's a genius

  • Better than the original? Please.. that's insulting to ever say. This song would never exist, if Tom never wrote it. I'd feel the same way if another band cover a song by Conor. The original version, is always on a higher pedestal... BUT this is great because 5 years ago, you'd never imagine Conor singing this on stage. haha Between this & the Ghostbusters theme, I'm in awe and happy for him.

  • Keep up these great collaborations, musicians and songwriters alike!

  • I was there, (front row!!) simone felice didn't seem sober so maybe he need the cain for support hahahah

  • One of the best tours ever!

  • oh wow

  • A few of my favorite things.

  • I saw the Felice Brothers and Bright Eyes at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia. As part of their encore, they announced they were all going to perform a Tom Petty cover. I leaned over to my friend and said "God, I hope it's that walls song". They started playing the chord progression, and I was happy.

  • I saw the first show they did with The Felice Brothers....so sadly I didn't get to see this. =( Poo.

  • Yayyyyy I love this. x)

  • This is great better than the original

  • Tom Petty is The KING of Rock.

  • holy shit, this was the most perfect tour i've ever ever ever ever seen! i went to the november 17th one in RI

  • GREAT video! A great example of how much fun the Felice Brothers are. Going to see them tonight, in fact!

  • Wow, this is really wonderful! Lovely song and nice performance. You gotta love the Felice Brothers. Hope they will come to Germany one day...

  • what is this song called?????

  • Tom Petty - Walls(Circus)

it's off the She's The One soundtrack.

  • is that Conor Mullen Oberst playing a solo!!!!

  • I had the same thought!! Now I'm not so sure though because the other guy playing electric guitar to the left has his fingers pretty high up on the fretboard also...but there are 2 solos, so one could be him and the other the other person...

I do recall seeing a more clear oberst "solo" in another video recently though...hmmm...

  • I spoke with the bands tour manager to get them to play Delaware after having read that the only places they haven't played in America were DE and Hawaii. It was a toss up between them playing at my parents Pub or the Grand. Needless to say, the Grand was a much better fit.

  • The Felice Brothers Rock!

  • I got the drumstick at this concert

  • i was at this show it was sooo amazing

  • fuck bright eyes, i just wanna see the brothers!!!!

  • It's great to see the Felice Bros. go from House party to Radio city. They nailed it. It was great.
