Yeah,that's a common bug in about any game.Trying to bring an object to you from under you,and it's blocked...just causes rising.It's like James's "All Objects Home in on Mario" GameShark code.He had to deactivate the function of Mario homing in on Mario,or else Mario would endlessly rise.However,if you get grabbed by the King Bob-omb,and you activate the code,you can rise that way.

Not to burst your bubble, but it is really only needed for heights. I can continuously jump and make it up little ramps that require high-grip wheels.

ya i found this today and i use it often to get mumbo boxes...i only wish you could drive your own vehicle in showdown town...i also used this to go to the invisible ceiling in the sky kind of thing and i got an achievment for it, try and see what the acheivment REALLY is...

its not even a glitch, rare said they knew about it but didnt bother fixing it as it was something themselves enjoyed doing. Although you could breach in Terrarium of Terror and other places it really isnt that necessary anyway, everything can be grasped just may take longer.

I used this glitch to get to uptown, 'twas awesome. It was however extremely frustrating as dumbass Rare couldn't comprehend the concept of TELLING YOU THE CONTROLS so I couldn't switch objects to use with the wrench. Yet another error with the game that partially prevented exploiting yet another error.
