Since the keeper was standing up to the stumps Harbhajan may have thought that the keeper may have knocked the bails over by accident, or that the ball may not have hit the stumps and they might have appealed for a stumping. Its a genuine mistake. The verbal with Pietersen was started by Peitersen needling him by saying "You dont want when ur bowled ?"
