@h1zchan It is Riksmål, that's true. Was used in Norway from around 1890 to 1917 ish, officially, and was replaced by Bokmål in 1929. But was still used by some people up until, well, still now you can find people that swear to Riksmål. I personally still like it.
@snazzer00 Actually, it's a danish song, but the woman who is singing is norwegian and changes a few things like "rude" to "rute". We were once ruled by the danish and there are a lot of similarities in our languages. Godnat Herinde means "Good night in here/ herein".
@FiabaDelGuerriero Google translate:P Now broods over Night Meadows and everything in darkness perishes. I listen here from my Window, it is silent so empty out there It is as if time stands. When I hear voices calling which increased from a Huldreby. I know it's me they want to find. Good night then you two in here! I come again at dawn. So I walked myself into the night and gravitated so strange going. God help every Dad and Mage who indeed found his way back but never came right again!
Jeg elsker det... Speechless.. Lumsk is one the best folk rock bands in the world. so well done and beautifully constructed... delighted. Tussen takk for so gode sanger altid (-:

is this Norwegian – Bokmål? Or some other dialect?
I don;t speak Norwegian but I noticed some words are slightly different from what I thought they were.
billsdestiny 1 year ago
@billsdestiny I might be wrong, but I think it's Dano-Norwegian. (You can look it up on Wikipedia.)

Someone told me that in Hamsun's time the dominant writing standard of the Norwegian language was called Riksmål.

@norsatyr I like how all the nouns are capitalized like in German. that makes it a lot easier to read for those who don't know the language well.

@billsdestiny
The lyrics are written in Dano-Norwegian, however the pronounciations are mostly in Bokmål. That's how it sounds to me anyways.
