is this Norwegian – Bokmål? Or some other dialect?

I don;t speak Norwegian but I noticed some words are slightly different from what I thought they were.

@billsdestiny I might be wrong, but I think it's Dano-Norwegian. (You can look it up on Wikipedia.)

Someone told me that in Hamsun's time the dominant writing standard of the Norwegian language was called Riksmål.

@h1zchan It is Riksmål, that's true. Was used in Norway from around 1890 to 1917 ish, officially, and was replaced by Bokmål in 1929. But was still used by some people up until, well, still now you can find people that swear to Riksmål. I personally still like it.

The lyrics are written in Dano-Norwegian, however the pronounciations are mostly in Bokmål. That's how it sounds to me anyways.

@snazzer00 Actually, it's a danish song, but the woman who is singing is norwegian and changes a few things like "rude" to "rute". We were once ruled by the danish and there are a lot of similarities in our languages. Godnat Herinde means "Good night in here/ herein".
