HD - Russian Revolution 1805 - Napoleon Total War

i only get a revolution that ends up with a republic...no soviet union :/

@Maztoldt Is the mod correctly installed AND enabled? It is indeed a republic, and works just like other republics in NTW but it should have the Soviet flag! :) And it's still called Russia, not Soviet Union.

@sauron170 Yes, or, there has to be a reason if you don't make it yourself. Making it yourself (in the capital) is easiest. However, I have been using a WW1 Mod when I the last times played as the Soviet Union, and that mod makes it a lot more realistic, like units and not to forget the time.

wait. so its the same game with the same graphics with a reduced map? for the same price? hmmmmm.

@straighttailpilot The map is the same as all the European campaigns from 1805 to 1815. It's just a modded revolution, you can even see the Russian floating flag above them. It just changes the flag on the map and in the battle (to the Soviet flag), as well as the uniform colors.

@straighttailpilot if you're comparing with empire, it's basically a perfected etw.

Coming from a veteran total war player since shogun, if you get the right mods for NTW, it's by far the best.

@sniperquasi I also like Napoleon a lot, but Empire is also good since it's more about just fighting France. But the biggest difference must be that the turn time is 2 weeks in NTW and 6 months(!) in ETW?

@helgefly56 often it turns into prussia versus spain or russia, the AI is pretty variable.

@sniperquasi In my normal campaigns it has often turned out that Russia or Prussia occupies the most of France (after me hehe).

Random question I know, but do you know if the TW-team has any plans of doing a new TW game in Europe? WWII would be cool, but I know they will need to change much how the battles works then.

@helgefly56 It's rumored that there was already a leak of Rome 2: Total War. If that is true, then i would be very happy with another rome.

If you want a ww2 total war style game, try Company of Heroes, Men of War, or Theatre of War

I already tried it (Tales of Valor), but I really miss a campaign map. Well I think I will do fine with the TW-games, but thank you for the tip.
