nah, the wheel still turns a bit while you're doing them so it wears pretty evenly around one side of the wheel. what happens is after a lot of them your wheel will be round on one side and an angle on the other when you'rel ooking down at it from the top

not really, it will wear down one side of your wheel but your wheel moves around while you're sliding so it won't wear down just one spot
