Liberties are not granted, you are born with them. If not, you would have no ownership of yourself. You would not be able to choose your thoughts.

Government uses violence against you when you exercise some of your rights Example: You have the right to put X in your body, the government tells you they will use violence if you do it. That is all they can do. The US government protects individuals from governments that would use violence for exercising our rights. It hasn't worked
