  • Is he practising in his living room?

  • @GingerOreo Also, with any ammount of attackers, you don't wait for them to come to you. you always go to them. If you wait for them, they can surround you, etc. Also, if two came, you'd go to the outside, take one out, use him as a shield maybe, go to the next one, etc. If it's a 3 person situation, never go down the middle. As soon as you go down the middle, the outer two surround you and you're instantly circled.

  • nice

  • well come try to attack me an i will.

  • yea write!!! trow me like that!!!

  • ¿Advanced Aikido?

  • Well, "Advanced" was a title to keep the sections separate. Personally, I feel to have a truly "advanced" technique, it needs to be a fundamental technique done with proficiency. There are no real "advanced" techniques to me.

  • siiiiiick!!!

  • I like how you show how to deal with two attackers. Is it the same principle dealing with three or more? I would assume so. Do you have any videos showing how to deal with three or more attackers?

  • I find dealing with three is easier than two; you always have someone to put in the way. Four attackers is tough. Five and six now it's almost a cardio workout. You have to constantly be moving to the open areas, cutting and cutting. In our dojo we only use 3 attackers at full speed. If you can do 3, you can do more. I will use five or six while practicing the principles of randori.

  • Ive been practicing aikido for a little while, I don't like comparing it to other arts but how well would it stack up against say a grappling art? I'm just curious, I constantly here that its useless from MMA gorillas.

  • May I know how do you deal with a situation whereby two or more attackers really fight you EXACTLY at the same time? The aikido videos I watched are rather more like one by one coming up to you, even this included. So what if while you're handling one attacker, another sneaks up behind you, and another comes up to you from the side and all grab you simultaneously?

  • You move on the outside, in an open space zone, and throw the closest attack between you and the other attackers. They'll either stop or just collapse on the guy already on the ground.

  • @GingerOreo If I may, I have tried with a friend to attack a shodan. We did attack him at the exact same time and he did catch me so as to use me as a shield to protect you from the second opponent. It is not just about your technic but also your position and how you move. this kind of video helps you understand better what you can do. It does not teach you what to do in this or that situation because the possibilities are endless. Aïkido teaches you to understand by yourself what you can do.

  • @kyushoaikiguy i always work with 5 attackers and agree that it is definatly a workout! i admire your technique and noticed that you use the same tactis as me (get them in each others way) being a 5" 16 year old girl fighting against 5 policemen and cagefighters is tough but aikido is a rare martial art that allows it to work

  • @eyore8 Thank you! I think it's awesome that you have the dedication and commitment to train in aikido as a 16 year old! I'm very impressed. I wish I had started at that age!!! Good luck to you and keep up the hard training.

  • Very effective and important technic in aikido

  • in that case: I apologize :P Great respect to you :3

  • its not his videos... -_- try expertvillage :P

  • actually, they are my videos. i created them for expert village.

  • Randori is where it all comes together. I REALLY like your videos.

Is it being selfish to say 'keep 'em coming?'

  • I couldn't agree more with you sir. Although randori is not all there is to aikido, the lessons found within are infinite in my opinion. If you can learn to have "no mind," this is where it will start. Randori is one of those things I absolutely love, yet totally dread!!!

    And don't worry, I've got more ;)

  • That's you? Cool man.. you're the most fluent practitioner I've seen.. although it's all subjective. How long have you been doing aikido? I am new, but I love it.. I'm in full verbal-combat mode of anyone who thinks it isn't practical.. it is one of the most practical arts I've seen.. the owner of my school, who is in the MA Hall of Fame agrees too.. and he isn't even trained in aikido. Your videos are great too, keep them coming, as he said.
