You guys need to do what Ohio State is doing, recruit players from the state of Florida. This old style slow moving Big 10 football is not working anymore, it might have worked in the 80's, but times have changed. Its all about speed at every position now. This is why the SEC keeps mopping the floor with you guys.

@TheLightningspeed Last year was a bad year for State, this is true. But you might want to check PSU's record against the SEC. We basically dominate them in bowl games. Furthermore, we have a pretty good recorde against the teams from Texas too (including UT). In fact, PSU has never lost a game in the state of Texas (like 7-0 or something).

Jesse Palmer says WE'RE the most overrated team...Sorry, but his beloved Gators and Texas underachieved WAY more than we ever did. Those were two preseason top 10 teams that have gone a combined .500 as opposed to a PSU team that started a true freshman QB to open the year and counting the bowl game, faces 4 BCS bowl winners from the year before. Dude needs a reality check. He and Mark May are uber-tools.

Relax Daw. I understand your frustration and I want us to be back to prominence as much as anyone else. However, I will always cheer for the blue and white, win or lose...because Im a fan thats what we do. This year sucked, but next year we have most of our big games at home, return 16 starters (including 10 on D) and we will be healthy and have some talented RS freshmen ready to see the field. Wait, I'll admit I don't follow the team as closely as I did when I went there, because they've proven to be a second or third team who can't beat good competition, especially not with any regularity.

All I can see from this season is that we got manhandled by OSU, Alabama, MSU (gross) and Illinois (ugh).

Once every 10 years, we have a team that plays well, it seems. Michael Robinson was the last "great" penn state player, a true winner. Like I said, one every ten years.

@TheCadet37 I'd love to take your approach but it'l be the same old story. Playing scared on the road, conservative and predictable playcalling that Iowa's defense keys onto and has no difficulty stopping. That and freshman mistakes at the QB spot will doom us. Look for something like 24-6 Hawks.
