I agree! i have been doing bobbin lace for a year now and i have been suprised how easy it is but yes the stiches are very simple nit i a combonation of a cross and a twist in many different patterns

You don't start with something this crazy, you start off with a much simpler pattern and work up to something like this.
However, the stitches are surprisingly simple, and it's a combination of sequences of pins and stitches.
