  • @Lamster337 The only fat that could be in it is the chicken..if its lean chicken breast its almost zero, and if you cut the tiny bit of fat off then its zero

  • Hi i tried this last night, I loved it. My question is how do you determine if you are combining high fat and carbs because I recently found out that this was not a good combo. How do you figure this information out in order not to make that mistake?

  • Just made some, pretty yummy. Need to make sure chicken has some moisture to get the oats to stick to them. Usually after de-frosting them you should have some water residue on them so thats when I dip them through the bag. Worked great.

  • I tried the recipe and the oatmeal didn't stick to the chicken well. I did it again and dipped the chicken in egg beaters then coated. It worked great. I also wasn't happy with the crispiness so I boosted the oven temp to 400 degree on my second try and spray the chicken in the pan with Pam.

    I also ground the oatmeal in a blender to get it closer to flour. Both ways were great. Just a matter of preference.

    It turned out awesome! Thanks for the great recipes!! Your channel is the best.

  • Another great recipe Mike! Everyone make sure you allow the excess eggwhites to drip off the chicken before coating, if not - the coating gets wet and begins to smell like cooked oatmeal.

  • For even more of a coating and for additional fiber & crunch, add wheat germ and ground flax seeds to the oatmeal mixture.

  • Hey michael! I really appreciate your channel and love what you do. Im finishing up a college 101 course and on Monday we have to present our final projects. Our projects can be about pretty much anything, so i chose to do a cook book. To be more specific a cook book that focuses on healthy, high energy foods. Would you mind if i used some of your recipes in my book ill give you credit and tell my peers where i found them! And do you have any favorite high energy healthy recipes you'd recommend?

  • @MrLolforyou Depends on what your calorie intake per day should be. This varies from person to person, genetics,lifestyle ect ect. Start by monitoring your overall diet for a few days then you got your overall normal intake of calories. Then simply decide if you want to lose or maintain your weight and divide that over 6 meals. If you're looking to lose weight don't drop your overall calorie intake per day by to much. Do it gradually.

  • Thanks for the recipe. With my food scale, I place a plate on the scale before i turn it on. That way it doesn't weigh the plate, and I don't have to worry about disinfecting the scale after each use.  I just wash my plate. You're scale may be different, but if you check the instructions for your scale it should let you know how to place a plate or container on the scale without weighing the plate as food.

  • You can coat the chicken in non fat Italian dressing first or fat free Greek yoghurt to moisten them before coating them...

  • why do you avoid carbs? don't you need plenty of carbs especially after a workout to replenish your muscles with energy?

  • You have the exact same food scale as me lol! Oh and measuring your chicken before you cook it is the incorrect way to do it. There is about 7 grams of protein in 1 oz of *cooked* chicken breast. Some places you buy it at inject the breast with water and other soluble liquids to make it heavier and sell you a deceivingly heavier breast. When cooked it loses all the water and will give you a completely different weighing everytime.

    Just a tip I learned.
