There's more to this album than a concept album based on Zodiac signs whether Mudvayne themselves believe it or not. To define many of the terms they use in their songs (including this song's title, "solve et coagula," go to hermeticgoldendawn . org . The website explains that it's an alchemical metaphor for psychotherapy and self-integration (Jung's idea of individuation would be helpful to understand here).
