What? This isn't a love song! This song was inspired by a homeless guy that played guitar on the doorsteps of a building across the street from where Dylan lived. He says that he related to that homeless guy in the sense that even with the obvious social class differences, they both lived through their music.
One of the absolutely best Wallflowers songs. Dylan the younger is great as usual. Best line in this song "the same black line that was drawn on you was drawn on me now its drawin me in..." I never got in to the song One Headlight...I felt bad for the Marlena chick with the one cyclops boob in the middle. Maybe she had some radioactive fruit in her time or she ate too much food sprayed by Monsanto.
