hey, I see you got an Axiom. At the moment I can't choose between the 49 version and the Roland PCR 500. How are the keys? are they close to a real piano?

i haven't tried the roland, but i'm pretty happy with the axiom. i wouldn't say that the response of the keys on the axiom is like that of a real piano, but the keys have a farily solid feel.

just curious, cause i don't record music usually, but you don't isolate the instruments? At least the drums? Don't they bleed into the mics? And what about your mic? You don't use a studio mic on a stand?

Hey Chris! Yes, we'll definitely isolate the instruments when we officially record. This is just a rehearsal, so we're all together in the same room.

After we finish recording, there are several more steps before the album is considered "finished": mixing, mastering, pressing, distribution. The whole process takes several months, so I'm anticipating a late summer/early fall release. I'll definitely keep you updated.
