@footballcrazyboy In career mode You just play with them well, and they will eventually develop (If young and low stats overall, players like Messi can't develop because they have allready reached their peak).

Outside of the career mode you can just tweak their stats, my FIFA -> edit teams -> players-> Edit player.

Does the team's captain's OVERALL always decrease or what?i had Vidic going down from 87 to 86..then replaced him with Chiellini..as he was the oldest player in my team i made him captain and after a couple of months his overall went down frm 85 to 84 even when i had scored 5goals from headers in that period through Chiellini..is it some sort of glitch or a fact..help please.. :O

Matuidi from St Etienne is very good. Got him cheap, 77 at start and midway through 2nd season he is now 81 and still going up I hope. Kieran Gibbs, Van der Wiel, Cristian Eriksen too, got him up too 89.

see what i do is usually in my career mode, is buy them now and there like a second team for cup matches and such, becuz i was thinking there was littleor none playe growth but ever since found out their potential i just let a player play for his club and buy him when Ill play him in the first team. for example neymar, i was about to buy him when he was 80 overall but then i found out his potentiel and so i just put him on my watchlist and hes 83 now after 2 seasons on my watchlist so.....

You are very unrealistic and "optimistic" the only correct ones i think are eden hazard and toni kroos (84 or 85).

Most players peak at around 25 26 or 27 years of age, to say that someone is a 70 at age 25 means that he won't get much better.
