When i was around ten or so me and my dad would play this game together. he liked it because it combined first person shooter and real time strategy modes, which he isn’t a fan of separately. i have a lot of fond memories of this game. Memories of me playing a video game with my dad.

battlezone 2 was a bad copy of battlezone 1. Levels were very easy, the units werent as cool as in BZ1. All the units were stronger in defense and of course weaker in attack..that made the game a little boring.

@Camilo21986 While we are entitled to our opinions I honestly believe BZ2 was much better than campaign was an actual campaign instead of just America vs. Russia for Space Metal and Alien Weaponry, and with the vehicles being stronger it all depends on the player, I played online so it was pretty well matched for the most part, you are right about the missions being pretty disappointing, but think about it this way, do you want them to be as hard as the RO pack?

If you have a 360, BZ fans should play Brutal legend, because it's the same type of Action/Strategy combination. It even has cars you can jump in.

I always wondered why the one pilot didn't recognize the Scavenger that he nearly ran into.

I'm guessing it was an older model recovered by the Scions to scout out Pluto without raising too much of an alarm.

You can activate some cheats like infinite ammo and infinite health in the options menu, I think. But I haven't played this game in 9 years so my memory may be rusty.

By the way, will it run on Vista? I want to spin up some classic games but I don't know if Vista will run them properly.

I always loved this dramatic intro. Two summers ago I spent nearly a month completing the ISDF campaign on Medium difficulty, without any cheats. What a fantastic experience. Gives you a great sense of accomplishment. Amazing game, although I think the original Battlezone from '98 is still the best.

In the original BZ you don't play as the Black Dogs. You can play against them as the CCA though.

Older 3d games seem to have that novelty, that passion that games today lack. Games were created back then for fun, now they are created for industry. It is like adding artificials to food, it is just not the same and thus sub-par.

it would suck. this game is awsome. i think that it has better graphics than games today. the gameplay with even bots is awsome becuase of the amazingly responsive squad controls. amazing game. nobody makes them like this anymore
