duckdiving is really easy if you rent a board that is maybe a couple of inches bigger than you and when you push the nose down use your foot to push the tail down and dont hug the board to your chest keep your foot on the board and push the nose back to the surface. if you don't push the board back to the surface than the force of the wave will pull you back. thats just the way i did it on a 5'0 board when i'm 4'4
hey littleshitsINC I just got a 6'2 fish and its 22" and 2 and 3 4ths thick and I know what you mean. its really hard to to duck dive on those kinds of boards without gettin swept back cus it floats so well. but i found that if you scoot forward alot and when you are under water pull the board up to your chest before you press on the tail its much easier and you dont get sucked back as much
Really? So... If I slide forward so I'm close to the nose of the surfboard and after I push the nose down I pull the short board up to my chest and then press the tail down its easier? Awesome! I'll try it.
hmm they are hard to dive if you dont have a lot of upper body weight ( and i mean a LOT!!) so just try and get all your weight up the front early and push deep, then when the wave has come pull yourself under with the board
Nice

i can duck dive fine, but how the hell did you do it on a bic?
dudeitsalexmckenzie 3 years ago 3
well it's a lot easier since he's doing it in a swimming pool. Salt water is more buoyant.
