I've had an LK100 fobledr awhile now and have not used it. I recently became disabled and tried using it but the stitches won't stay on the needles and it is very hard to push the carriage. Can you show me how to thread this machine and/or how to work it? Thank you in advance, Ingrid
I agree Alex, Brother machines are very nicely designed and the narrow width of their machines are much more appealing. I also really like the pattern needles forward concept, which is great for some techniques like lay-over knitweave and lace on the bulky 260 machine. I use Singer/Knitmaster lace cards on the bulky 260.
It's similar but the gauge is different. The Brother convertibles (KH 395 and KH 400) are 4.5 mm and 9 mm (by changing the bed parts around). However Brother also made a plastic bed mid-gauge machine (KH 350) that was 7mm in gauge similar to the LK 150 in some aspects. The other 7mm machines are the Bond Elite and the Artsian 70Dplus (a fixed double bed mid-gauge).
IMHO, the LK 150 is far superior to the Brother KH 350. The LK 150 has many more features that the 350 didn't offer.
@dohafee That is very interesting to know so thankyou for the info, I don't really have much knowledge on the brother plastic bed machines only the brother punchcard and electronic machines, I think the brother punchcard and electronic machines are really unique compared to the studio/knitmasters because of there sleak looking design if you know what i meen.
@DavidVillage13 This machine is very similar to the Brother convertable hand knitter but i am not sure about the gauge, I know brother made a plastic bed mid gauge that has similar,if not the same features.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have the manual, but it just much better seeing the machine being threaded :)

Hi
Is this machine the modern day equivalent of the brother convertable hand knitter?
