  • Wow. I moved there in 1968 and grew up there and taking the train to NYC. I recognize everything instantly- including old window fonts and the Esso station, and how you had to climb up the stairs to the trains originally before they built the raised platform later. Used to get Butter Rum Life Savers at that vending window each time took the train! Thanks for sharing... ANY MORE??

  • I was six years old. I remember those trains. I didn't remember that was a gas station at the beginning!!! Wow!

I think the train platforms got raised around 1973 or so. Definitely by 1975. Man, Penn Central, wow.... probably was in bankruptcy when you filmed it.

Oh man. Remember Meade's? (sic?) With the pneumatic tubes?

  • Gripping footage. Dramatic moment when Barrie breaks into a trot on his way to the station, but thank goodness makes the train with time to spare - whatever happened to those kind of happy endings in mainstream cinema?

  • Wow. Barrie M. just as i remember him...

  • He was a friend of mine. Barrie. It was done for my own pleasure. There is some Scarsdale High School footage fro that time on my page.

  • Very cool video. Who is the mystery Scarsdalian and what is the back-story of the clip? Was it for a school assignment? are there more videos like this one?

  • Used to live there. Took movies because I liked it.
