That's Vickilynn Reynolds, a GREAT character actress who's never gotten her due in screen work. Right after this movie, she had a very short-lived sitcom called "Sugar and Spice" with Loretta Devine (Boston Public), Stephanie Hodge (Nurses, Unhappily Ever After), and Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace)--other character actors who, sadly, unlike Vickilynn all went on to greater recognition.

I like the original Pollyanna but this one is my FAV!!! Oh and you can see Debbie Allen's Daughter, Vivian, singing in the choir at 1:24. She is now a professional dancer like her mom!

Have you ever thought about purchasing a DVD player from a Circut City in the US? If they still have any left you can get one for a song and maybe that will help you play the DVD? Or have you tried google ways around the restriction?

Thanks, but i spent about 2 hours looking for a copy. Disney and Amazon only sells copies for the USA. So i do not think it is availble in the Uk, which is sad!!!

No, they have been available for quite sometime before President Obama. But, this movie did mirror the same events of the Presidential campaign with a woman and african american running for office at a time when it was unheard of.

No, they have BOTH Polly and Polly Comin' Home, please check the link, I know because I bought BOTH DVDS and LOVE THEM!! They are sooooooo worth it. They may ALSO have Pollyana but Polly and Polly Comin' are adaptations of Pollyanna.
