  • cries. my 350 gives up at 5500rpm lol

  • That might be putting a lot of presser on the head gaskets

  • can you get 800 HP out of a 305

  • knuckel heads thats 8500 rpms it didnt even crack @8500 just roared. If you watch toms vids he raps them out realy f%$#@&g hard and they just hold together!!!!!!

  • @jcstumpy1

do you think that they would put a video up on a motor that blew you fucking moron?

  • Henry "Smokey" Yunick said it best.

"An engine doesn't know what it's name is on the outside."

  • LOL ford newbs SBC = SMALL BLOCK CHEVY ????? WOW

  • How do u get an engine to do higher rpm's?

  • @TheZoelzer2 well first less mass thats being thrown around. there are many people that have different opinions. i believe that short strokes and long connecting rods will absolutley help with rev capability. the stock sbc 327 will spin to 8 grand all day long. partly because of the short stroke and the long connecting rods giving in a very nice rod ratio which basicly affects how long the piston is at TDC and BDC which helps the breathing at higher rpm.

  • @ACHEESEDANISH00 I agree, a short stroke is my personal preference. The 383 / 400 mopar big blocks have a short stroke, especially for a big block, obviously helping them rev more freely than say, a 400+ cubic inch stroker or a 440 etc. I learned this after I got ahold of a 400 big block, it's going to be a beast of a machine once I get everything put back together. It came with lightweight pistons (keith black) so it shouldn't have any trouble spinning to over 6,000 rpm, hopefully more.

  • @DeAdiSSu3 if you wanna make a 400 rev high, get a 400 small block and put a 350 crank in it ... 377 built right hits 8500 rpm easy. Wont have the power down low a 383 has but up high its insane, sick circle track motor

  • @Leafsrule016 I have a mopar 400 big block though lol. It has a small-block stroke, however, same stroke as the 318 small block if i'm not mistaken, something like a 3.31 inch stroke, somewhere around there, I can't remember. But yeah it'll rev quickly with some aluminum heads that come with lighter valves and valvetrains etc, and with the right carb / manifold. I was thinking something like a victor jr. manifold with a 750 or 850 cfm double pumper for now

  • @DeAdiSSu3 I was talking about a chevy 400 though.. 377's make unreal circle trac motors, don't know a whole lot about the mopar 400 but it sounds like a similar concept of the 377

  • SBC = Small Block Chevy!

  • Hey dumbass' this bad ass "ford" motor you guys are talking about is actually a GM 302

  • @boostedfoxbody90 by ready your name you have a fox body which is a ford. you get respect for backing up GM. Most FORD guys are bitches

  • @boostedfoxbody90 They were confused by the "SBC" in the title.

  • Lolwut?

  • Ok, I may piss off some guys here, I got nothing against the blue oval, got a '71 Mercury Cougar with a 351 cleveland lurking under the rusty ass hood, drive it every day, runs like a bat outta hell. BUT I also happen to have a '66 chevy c/10 with a 396 under the hood with 4:10's in the ass and I haven't seen a tractor that that sob couldn't pull yet. My logic, they're both good so I'll leave on that note.

  • @Littlebluetruck1995 Exactly, the diehard GM / Ford fans need to calm down. Both of your cars sound like they're a hoot to drive, glad to hear someone else can appreciate all the classics!

  • @DeAdiSSu3

+1 to that! I'm definitely a Ford man, but only a fool could look at the Camaro (modern or old) and think it is anything but amazing. GM v. Ford is dumb. Domestic v. Import, however... ;)

  • @JDPatriot Yeah I tend to always defend my domestics, I like Ford, not a fan of GM, but you know what? I think i'm falling in love with old mopars of the 60's and early 70's. Once I got my '73 Fury I started feeling this maniacal urge to burn rubber in the streets and give old ladys heart attacks with my exhaust notes lol it's the strangest thing!

  • @DeAdiSSu3

    hahaha, well said!

  • um Henry Ford was a Nazi Sympathizer. you Ford guys are a bunch of dingbats. Its good that you know where you stand in life. in the dark.

  • @TheInboil Yeah Henry Ford sympethized with the nazis because they were so fucking dumb....you don't fight russia and america, you make russia and america fight themselves....

  • typical chevy guy prejudice for no reason. don't you know why GM shifted to a cylinder head design that more represents Ford's?

  • nice

  • That thing is just sitting on a stand?? You can make any small block go 8500 on a stand.... Do you have any dyno numbers?

  • @BVDV63 man wtf do you build?

  • @pdgeman I build all kinds of stuff. The list would be too long to post on here. Mostly Ford windsor small blocks though. What do you build? My 347 is still pulling at 7k under load.

  • @BVDV63 not for long haha

  • @pdgeman K cause you've seen my engines right?

  • @BVDV63 don't have to see your engine to know fords break...

  • @pdgeman Yeah, Fords break the sound barrier. Chevy's break themselves into pieces, however.

  • Dude are you for real ? seeing how I've been street racing since the 70s and yes even real Drag racing I can honestly tell you without question that while todays "windsor" motors are used alot in drag racing they WERE USED MOSTLY AS BOAT ANCHORS then because the Clevelends were king with the blue oval boys and just in case you forgot how many small block fords made 375 horse from the factory or how about the LS6 and on and on and on ?

  • @TheRoguelement Well, the Boss 351 was the most powerful small block from the MC era... and even look at today: The Coyote engine makes less power but is outperforms both the Camaro and Challenger engine.

And yes, Cleveland engines are the real find over Windsors, but they even used a Windsor block in NASCAR all the way to 2009. And btw, why did you even bring up Windsors?

  • @B0SSNINE Pretty sure 351 C isn't a small block...... And Just because Motor trend or car and driver say its better doesn't mean it is better. Engine doesn't out perform, Weight,Handling gearing, Driver has alot to do with it. Mark Donohue proved that.

  • @Blackmamba1997 It's not technically. And besides, I never said they we're. I said the Boss 351's were, which they are (Boss 351 and 351C aren't the same engine, btw). Never mentioned C&D either, but your right. Plus, they we're with the same driver, now that I look at it. I think you mighta read someone else's post and then replied to mine, or just got confused lol. xD

    ;D

  • @Blackmamba1997 Thought you said the New 5.0s out due the chevys and mopars. why i said its the driver and the way the car is set up. sorry if it was the wrong person.

  • It must make a shitload of horsepower at 8500!!

  • if it aint double hump...take it to the dump!

  • most of you ppl comenting on here are dipshits, but entertaining none the less

  • it sounds cool at high rpms

  • looks like some camel hump heads on that engine?

    stock water pump?

    Small valve covers?

    weird

  • all i know is you an wind them up tite as hell

  • I don't have a great view of the engine but I'm amazed at those RPM's because that looks like a low rise duel plain intake.

  • 302 zapper? cause you might wanna specify that..

  • @jdjd181 you might wanna read the description b4 you call sum1 and idiot. chevy DID make 302s back in the 60's. id say sumthin else but im tryin 2 be nice rite now.

  • @rubbernutz1 didnt that make em into the 80's i thought u could get camaro rs with a 5.0 chevy motor, im just helping you further make your point lol

  • @bluestangGT2001 no that 5.0 is a 305. more or less a 350 with a smaller bore. they quit makin 302's in 69 or 70 i think

  • @rubbernutz1

    yeah the 302 is actually a 4.9

  • Comment removed

  • @rubbernutz1 ahhh got it, i guess those 3 cubic inches make a difference lol

  • Comment removed

  • old chevy 302s are bad lil bastards

  • Comment removed

  • @rubbernutz1

Oh hell yeah they are...My cousin has a 68 Z28 that has the 302 in it...

  • @scott93257 Why would it have a 302 in it? 307 was the engine they made in that year.

  • @CyborgbobaFett the First Generation camaro Z28 was a 302Ci engine,,, made to compete in Transam racing along with the boss 302 mustang,, it was rev happy bastard of an engine, if i remember corectly its a 327 with a 283 crank

  • @IRONSEAN7 you are very correct.it was a 327 with a 283 crank.very badass motor.high revs with hp on top of that.to answer the other guy 307 was to big for trans am racing, they were limited to 305ci. so chevy biult the 302 dz motor in 68or 69

  • @caveman76360 They also had an MO 302 in '67....

  • @caveman76360 Yeah the DZ 302 was BADASS!!! gotta love that "LIL" SCREAMER :)

  • @caveman76360 It cant be a 327 cause they only come as a 2 bolt main. 302 are 4 both main...

a 302 is a 4 bolt main block with 4" bore so its can only be a 350 block with 3"stroke crank... :)

  • @80v8camaro Well i thought a 302 was a 327 just with a 283 crank, making it a 302. There are 4 bolt main 327, i think there later blocks.

  • Comment removed

  • @80v8camaro

    in 67 , 302 was a small-journal 327 block.

    and in 68-69, 302 was a large-journal 350 block.

  • @80v8camaro I have no idea wtf you just said lol.

  • @80v8camaro some 302s were 2 bolt and there is an ls327 from gmperformance now which is a 6bolt

  • nice, now civic lovers lose even they high rpm turf.

  • 8500 rpm isn't nothing,my 305 slings rods out the oil pan way faster

  • @daytonpaul from nelson racing i would think more around 600-700hp

  • Sounds like nascar

  • thats a n/a engine i bet that thing has over 400rwhp

  • sounds awesome

  • 302 SBF

  • @FordsRule351 you mean SBC..

  • damn what kinda top end u running on that sb iv had my 318 pushin 8grand on mopar heads but damn that must have some sick timing

  • how is the timing chain set< how did you make this happen?

  • @demorgus

i ran my 302 at 40 to 42* total timing

  • are you selling this engine?
