I'm here looking at this thing after watching "Flyboys'' for the 50th time. I finally got around to looking up the bomber from the movie. The planes look so flimsy yet graceful. The men who flew them had balls this big!! Great model rep.
I'm curious as to why pusher engines were used instead of the more conventional tractor engine that most models employ...never seen them before on a scale model....they sort of invoke the memory of the only operational heavy bomber to actually see service with pusher engines....the Convair B-36 Peacemaker
Nice Gotha! Looks like the G.IV version. My friend's dad knows a guy in Montana that has built a full sized Gotha G.V, with the 260 HP Mercedes style inline D.IVa engines and all, and occasionally flies it around!
Absolutely amazing and it is amazing how there is someone in this world for everyone. None of my friends but one would know what A Gotha is. My Aurora model can't fly. And the sound of the engines, too cool guys.

@Armigerous Probably because the Gotha (A heavy bomber for those days) used pushers. (long before the B 36)
