It's not about human life, it's about the last vestiges of control over women. A woman should have the choice about whether or not she wants to carry a child to term. If she doesn't she should have every option to get rid of it, just like she should be able to get rid of a tapeworm infection.

People have sex for personal pleasure, spiritual or religious reasons or because they feel as though they genuinely love someone. Therefore, you can intend not to get pregnant and use all the proper precautions (birth control on both ends) but accidents happen.
