  • i have 100.000 C64 games lol

  • Inspired the great SuperMiners for Symbian. Oh, sweet phone gaming times...the bluetooth multiplayers...!

  • Now you can play on Xbox 360. For 800 MSP.

  • as time flys ...... very good memories when playing this !!

  • @76MKIIDub16V yes me too i have good memories.. i was so little child..

  • when i was younger, we used to call the blue amoeba-like things pizzas

  • burdeldash

  • I remember that I always tried to imagine the story behind this game when I was a kid. A cat-human hybrid - a prisoner trapped in caves. Trying to run from acid, killer butterflies, and warp holes. Digging with his/her own hands/paws. It needed to collect the diamonds to pay, so it could go to another level and live longer and try to get out in the end. I was disappointed when I discovered (at the age of ~18) that the real story was that "Rockford was a diamond collector" - lame.

  • I suddenly feel old and nostalgic. I have become my dad!

  • i was a child and didn't have own pc, but spend too many time in public pc club playing this game... now I have any game I want but it is not so thrilling at all

  • I have played this game for the IBM, the Nintendo, and the GBA. In every single iteration, the physics are just slightly different.

Nice work on the level, btw.

  • awesome game! if anyone can point me in the direction of the original game for the PC rather than one of the amazing looking remakes then i'd be forever in your debt!

  • i know 7 years means a lot in gaming industry, but supaplex beats this game's ass....don't get me wrong, I honor and prefer originals, but this is just not it, they took it to the next level with supaplex :)

  • i was just typing random shit into the search engine and this appeared

  • Wow! He/She played this game a lot better than me. I used to have a faulty joystick which did not help at all. The old c64 what fun.

  • Damn, you just made gravity your bitch.

  • boulder dash on the amiga 500.....so much better

  • Thanks for the upload, brings back loads of awesome memories!

  • pigeonxxxxx, can you help me? I remember a game from the C-64 era, and I keep writting "boulderdash" in the searcher, because somehow it´s similar: the character is like an explorer that falls into mazes, and tries to find keys to access new levels of the cave(?). can you point me in any direction?

  • @peluchetaiwanes

Could this game you re looking be called Saracen?

  • @bjerina no luck. do you know any game of the time under the name "predatore"?

  • @peluchetaiwanes Hello, I think tha game may be Crystals of Zong (Krystals of Zong) Im sure it is will a K not a C, you have coloured keys, to open treasures, and there are some monsters, snakes, bats, spiders, and mummys , you can also get a sword, and a tourch, sorry if this has already been answered or if this is wrong.

  • @themighty6 thank you for your help, but in the C64 game I´m looking for there were no weapons. anyway it was so addictive and action - packed I´m sure you also played with it. as soon as I get the I´ll send it to you!

  • @peluchetaiwanes try tutankamen

    or h e r o

  • Not the level one i know. More like level "insane".

  • Das war ein Spiel, welches einen wochenlang in den Bann ziehen konnte.

Leider kam nie wieder was in der Spielqualität, spielbar auf unseren jetzigen Rechnern nach ..

    Schade eigentlich ...

  • had this on the Amiga 20yrs ago and every time you finish a level it would go Yippee

  • The Boulderdash series was and probably still is one of my favourite games. I remember getting a 64 at Christmas when I was about 11 - Way way back in 1983! The excitement of waiting for a game to load! I still have it and the external 1541 disk drive which is nearly as big as the computer itself. Retro gaming at its best! I use CCS64 on this PC to play it these days though the 64 does see the light of day every so often! Classic stuff.

  • Repton is the best RocksAndDiamonds game

  • Allright, let's be honest:

this is one of few top games on my eternal list.

  • Those diamonds always played a lovely little tune! :-)

  • I played this game, and this very level with my Dad when I was just over 5 years old!!! Looovvveee it!!!! :-))))))) (Still got Atari in my loft-must get it working again!!!)

  • 1:03 RUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!! :-O

  • Back in 1993/1995 I made a Boulder Dash clone twice, one for the Atari ST and one for the Atari Falcon, called "Boulder Smash". The latest one is my clone for the Apple Macintosh called "Crystal Gems 3.0". :-)

  • @EskyHunter Boulderdash is already downloadable on nintendo wii, it costs only 500 wii points which is basically 5 bucks. I bought it and play it more than the modern day wii games lol..

  • OMG ! I remember this level so well :D

This game cost me a ton of time , but it was worth it and still it is :D

  • Does someone knew what is happening at 2:32 when backscreen is flashing?!? :)

Czy ktoś wie po co tak błyszczy tło w 2:32??. Głowię się nad tym z 15lat ;)

  • Extra life (500 points).

  • WOW!

    THX! :))

  • I thought it meant the level was cleared? I used to have this game on msx.

  • Yeah it's when you have collected enough jems and the door to the next level is open

  • I wrote a version of this in Turbo Pascal back in 1992 for a 386 PC... got great love for this game. I still love it now... Peter Liepa is a GENIUS!!!

Wish there was a construction set for the PC where you could use mouse and menus... lol

  • I am the O-House Master of Boulderdash! Nick, Tom, Scott, Bill, JewJr, Jut, FijiDoug, Brady, Randy, Farmer, Cock-eyed Farmer, and all others can kiss my ass!

  • boulderdash is one of the most devious & cleverest games ever developed, fantastic!

  • Early and simple Commodore game yet one of the best on the system.

  • nice going, dude :) i like it. was one of my favs, too!

  • aw man:( i want it for the PC!!

  • you can download the winvice c64 emulator and the game... and lotsa lotsa more exciting old school stuff for the 64. ain't no problem at all :)

  • If someone is going to play it emulated, they may as well go with the original Atari version.

  • In what way is it better than the C64 version? It doesn't really seem to look much different to me.

  • I`ve seen many PC versions of BOULDER DASH, but all of them were very bad. The fun is when you have C64 and joystick. You can buy C64 for 10$ (at least in Poland)

  • Are those C64's really rare gems around there, or easily obtained? Poland is too far for me to go and see it myself, but Id love to get one of those again..

  • I have one. How much are you willing to pay for it? ;)

  • @pigeonfingerpointer ...but the REAL fun is to have it on Atari! :)
