  • a real tone monster !!!

  • wonderful video Dave, thanks a bunch. I got a bb too and from your video have learned some helpful things. btw, i love your humor:)

  • star of david tattoo?

  • @odst2514

    The Sheridan model is nice

the quality from guitar to guitar seems to vary

2 new identical guitars are not identical

    try before you buy

    don't buy online

  • Love it!

  • Dave I also heard that BB tends to wrap most if not all of the string on the string post, doesn't trim them to length at all. Don't know how he gets away with that, but he says he rarely has tuning issues with slipping, etc.

  • is that a 339 body? it looks like a solid es at a glance

  • @XtraPibbDude

original Lucille was a 335 I think with F holes

BB King had gibson make this for him as his signature model

    NO F Holes

  • @davey4557 A 355, you can tell by the gold hardware and the large inlays

  • @davey4557 Any guitar BB played was called Lucille, if he had a fender strat, it was Lucille, cool story behind the name of his guitars too.

  • Fucking wizard!!!!!

  • @SpinGoldmusic

    Thanks for the comment :)

  • very cool

  • @billy2463

    LUCILLE !!!!!

  • hi good day i am looking at the fret board .it looks like the fret board is a little bit hi. what would you use to keep fret seated.

  • That "NuFinish" looks just like ScratchX by Mothers...They also do a Spray 'n shine...

I see you said those gitts list for $780cnd but what's it in aussie dollars.?.Wait..I just checked...It says it's Four bucks twenty three....GST inc...lol...Love your vids mate.

  • @ziggassedup

    I've use nu-finish since the 70's

it does a very good job on an auto

they suggest you re apply after 30 days to get the best results

then yer good for a year

i tested it on guitar finishes of all types and have never had a problem as long as the guitar is clean to start with

  • Cool Video Dave, I see in the comment's about a rating on this guitar. That could get tough because without a repair guy spending time with every model and fixing all the little things, the Labor that was removed from the people that built it comes back in the end. I get tired having to fix other peoples fuck ups for free as-well lol.

  • @Jackson4268

the quality on epiphone seems not consistent.

2 exact models side by side my have from zero to several issues

if you buy an Epiphone be wise :) and try a few of the same type

  • @davey4557 Yes Sir, That is what you are for. I have played junk guitars for a long time and it is a great to learn from you how to make them play the best they can! Fucking love the videos Dave, Cheers and Mopar to you from Detroit!

  • @Jackson4268

BB King calls it a Les Paul's younger brother

  • Nice work dave. Id be interested in a video just about the cleaning materials you use. Dunno if we can get that Nu Clean stuff in europe tho

  • More precision it's Electra semi-acoustic custum pro X-420 with 2 Magnaflux (???) humbuckers, brass nut and ivory binding.

  • Hey Dave, I have an old Electa X420 (1981) no f hole, hollow body with a brass nut. Looks like the Lucile wihout the roating selector knob. On the 1981 flyer the price is $529.50 ... Great little guitar

  • do u work on any deans?

  • @masteromega1

no one has ever brought me a Dean to work on :(

  • Fack. Dyou know if this is the one that was just on Toronto Craigslist? Because I totally missed out on it.

  • @Andy8Tran

    it was on Kijiji

the guy sold this and a Parker for $800

    $800 for the pair

  • 1:12 woah... Dave x3!!! Pretty cool, intentional or otherwise!

  • Nice geeeeetar

  • @kortt

    lists for $780 cnd

    he grabbed it for $400

  • Cool guitar

  • What do you think of the newer Epiphones Dave? Thinking of getting a Sheraton II soon.

  • @drbo42

The general quality seems to be there.

the perfection you see on a real gibson is somewhat missing.

for the money they cost I guess they are worth it

    guitars are like cars

some last longer and drive better

    depends what ya spend

  • @davey4557 Figured about as much. Thanks for the quick reply.

  • @drbo42

hi sheratons are wonderful...i ve had three of them ! always go back to them....go for it!

  • That's a nice little guitar. I never bouth an Epiphone, came close to getting a Sheraton II once. Played one and thought it was a great playing guitar for the money but it was sold on me. I tried the one next to it which was visually identical and it was probably one of the worst guitars I've ever held in my hands. You have to be very careful with Epiphone guitars

  • Hey dave. What do you honestly think about the quality of this guitar?I have a epi dot studio made in 2006 and its a cheapy, probably cost 400-450 tops and I love it.J

  • @spanky2964

I'm with Bluebut happy on this one

Look closely at what yer getting

    some are better than others

Lucille was not bad for a USED guitar

    expect something if it's used

    like a used car

you always spot something after you buy it
