The first time I found out that these cars did 0-60 in less then 5.5 seconds and could run the quarter in less then 13.5 I figured that the website was bullshitting, but after finding many websites that all support this and this video supporting this I must say I am extremely impressed with this car.
if u look at tachometr it was 6000 tousand and than got back to 5000 ,i have the same thing with my ML55 amg,anybody knows why it is hapend/? i am sure it is not ne gear shifting up. u got a nice car with low miles! have a nice way !
actually it is the gear shifting up. My car does the same thing when you the top speed governor. It automatically shifts up to top gear and haults the acceleration of the car. Your ML55 as well as this E55 are limited to 155. My E320 is limited to 130
yah I live in California the state with the most restrictions on cars. I was using the digital speedometer and christmas day not a soul was on the road so... Booked it. 143 and it died out. I was surprised too since I had heard it goes out at 130 from a homegirl who has the same car. Weird or what?
mine shuts down at 130 also. Maybe if your car was bought used, the previous owner may have had a Mercedes specialist remove the governor. And your E320 is able to do burnouts?! Lucky, my traction control goes off, but comes back on automatically when wheelspin is detected. You got some good E320 there. Mine has so many electronic limitations! god dammit
yeah what happened is we bought a 08 E500 and it ended up being a lemon. The whole tranny was taken out and re-built. TWICE, in 1 month... 600 miles on the car. So we said fuck that and got an attorney and they immediately offered all the cash back. 82K exactly what we got a check back for. But when we knew it was in stone I killed that car. Drove as much as I could ate so much fuel destroyed it. Instead got a 2005 E320 for 31K 25K miles. Previous owner was a Law Enforcement Officer. BEST DEAL.
PS my E320 is a slug and I got such a bad ticket it in the other night! I finally figured out how to turn traction control off so I do a burn out in sport mode with tiptronic in 1st and I scream it into 2nd... I was recording it too I'll post it later at the end I'm just like "ahhhh sh" and it ends it was so fucking whack!
@tta850 gotta love thee old skool merc's my dad had a 1994 c250 d auto great car for year engine was as strong as a tank and it had electric everything now he has a w203 c220 cdi coupe 137mph not bad for a diesel :)
nice but I have the feeling that a w124 e500 has a better top end hence a little faster...

yes, is shifted into 5th gear because he hit the limiter...if he took the limiter off somehow, i dont think it would have shifted until 160...
