Sorry if I get into fights with people on here about there opinions when they come and say the originals better. When I don't like the voice I'm hearing or version I do the .. you know.. logical thing and get off the page ASAP might even go listen to the original and comment nice things.
Rachel has the best voice EVER! When I found out she sang this song, I thought it would be weird, but itt's fantastic! Rachel's just sort of snobby, but if anyone's a bitch, it's Santana.
But, I do believe that the other characters deserve to be a 'Star' for just an episode. They'll get the chance to be the focus even just one of the episodes. Just so people won't forget that they're still part of the Glee Club. Ya know what I mean? :)

I like Rachael but, she has got more solo's than anyone lolx I'm a little happy there a re a few getting solos now. Santana has an AMAZING voice. I would love to hear her sing more. Along with Mercedes. She's one of my Favorites. Also, Brittany :) And Possibly Artie as well. Rachael just sings a lot of solos lol give other people a shine. But, I still LOVE her because no doubt she's amazing just like the rest :)

Ohh, this is all right, and I like Lea, but this would be so much better suited for Dianna in my opinion. It's Joni Mitchell, and she's wonderful because she's got soul and doesn't have to be precise and perfect. @BiblicalTaz Yeah. This is so her song. Yeah, you know. There are some songs out there that Glee has done that was perfect for Lea. The fact that Ryan, Ian, and Brad know what songs to give the cast is amazing and brilliant.
While everyone thinks that Rachel is an annoying bitch who gets all the solos, I see her as an aspiring performer, singer, and songwriter in that Glee club. Other than Kurt, no one in that Glee club is focused on a long term goal (career) like Rachel. Yet at the same time, even a small problem feels like a broadway show for Rachel, i'm sure we must have felt that through "What I did for Love?" in s2. Also, Rachel sings showtunes to pop to rock to metal to run joey run, which imo Santana can't!

I don't know how people can compare Naya and Lea... they are both great singers in their own respects. They have such different voices, so it is really hard to compare. Lea also has significantly more experience with all of her Broadway work and such, so it is really easy for people to justify that she is a better singer!
i love the original version of this, and i listen to it on end every year, and lea's version just blew me away. wow. i'm tearing up. and yes, i think lea needs more solos.

LOVING that Rachel has an entire song to herself, but I'm going to get really pissed if they break Finn and Rachel up again. It's like they haven't even been together this season. I can count on my one hand how many "moments" they've had that makes it obvious that they're a couple. I am really not a fan of this season.
@neonglowstickz There is a 'cute' Finchel scene and Finn is going to buy Rachel a necklace, but Santana convinces him to buy her earings instead. That doesn't sound like they are going to break up in this episode. There has been some suggestion that Rachel sings this to Quinn, no idea why, but I'm pretty sure Finchel is safe. The writers said there wasn't going to be any break-ups this year, though Lauren broke up with Puck in The Purple Piano Project.

Sam comes back, because with Rachel out of New Directions they need the extra member. Some bands guys have to join in as well. Rachel is only out for a week, so she's back at school for this episode.

Good song for Rachel. Not just the voices and lyrics, but the fact thats its not too Chirstmas-y. That was one of my biggest complaints with last year's Christmas episode. Rachel seemed much more Christian than Jewish. It was actually really annoying.
@futurephotographer15 You Can't Stop The Beat and We've Got The Beat and group songs which she has solo's in, not a solo number. She's had a few duets, Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead is the one that is in that episode, no fully sung Rachel song though.

I love Tina's voice, but all she has really sung is a line in America, and back-up in Mercedes' Spotlight. Rachel is a senior, while Tina is a junour. The only people really singing this season are Blaine, Santana and Mercedes.

Spoiler, they are both featured at Sectionals, which is the episode before the Christmas one, so that should be nice. Look I have calamed down, and I could have written the comment gentler maner, but I'm a huge Lea Michele fan and I've been missing her voice this season. Tina and Artie are jouners, so they'll be around next year, Finn had a fair bit to sing in two of last episode's mash-ups and Quinn has never really sung much in the first place. I think the song has been confirmed, so my original comment is almost invalid now.

@Purplemoosiy I suppose you're right, but there is a difference between having 'all the solo' to none. I think it's good that some of the others are stepping up, especially Naya, but Lea can sing things that no one else can. I don't like comparing the actors' voices, because they all are strong in different areas, but for me Lea can cover the most styles, which lets her sing so many differnt songs. She can do this and Katty Perry. I just want a nice balance on glee, not replacing a vital member.

@bananabuck Preach! People are complaining when Rachel gets one song, while most of ND and TT has already had more. Naya deserves the chance to sing, but Lea is much more emotional. With Rachel banned for Sectionals and all that there really shouldn't be any complants about her getting all the songs, which some people have responded to my comment with. Rachel is co-captain of the club and one of their most experienced singers, she should be singing more songs than the majority of the cast.

While everyone thinks that Rachel is an annoying bitch who gets all the solos, I see her as an aspiring performer, singer, and songwriter in that Glee club. Other than Kurt, no one in that Glee club is focused on a long term goal (career) like Rachel. Yet at the same time, even a small problem feels like a broadway show for Rachel, i'm sure we must have felt that through "What I did for Love?" in s2. Also, Rachel sings showtunes to pop to rock to metal to run joey run, which imo Santana can't!

I don't know how people can compare Naya and Lea... they are both great singers in their own respects. They have such different voices, so it is really hard to compare. Lea also has significantly more experience with all of her Broadway work and such, so it is really easy for people to justify that she is a better singer!

Such amazing vocals and such perfect song for her! Love the lyrics and so glad she finally has a solo! I know she did have a lot in the other seasons and they are giving more to other members as she is going to leave glee soon but with songs sung like this how can they not give her solos!? <3

LOVING that Rachel has an entire song to herself, but I'm going to get really pissed if they break Finn and Rachel up again. It's like they haven't even been together this season. I can count on my one hand how many "moments" they've had that makes it obvious that they're a couple. I am really not a fan of this season.

@neonglowstickz There is a 'cute' Finchel scene and Finn is going to buy Rachel a necklace, but Santana convinces him to buy her earings instead. That doesn't sound like they are going to break up in this episode. There has been some suggestion that Rachel sings this to Quinn, no idea why, but I'm pretty sure Finchel is safe. The writers said there wasn't going to be any break-ups this year, though Lauren broke up with Puck in The Purple Piano Project.

Sam comes back, because with Rachel out of New Directions they need the extra member. Some bands guys have to join in as well. Rachel is only out for a week, so she's back at school for this episode.

You sure? :/ I remember when Darren did some thing for youtube where it was all like "celebrities top ten picks" or something for music playlists he listed a Theo Katzman song "White Picket Castle" and said it was his brother's group. At least that's what I seem to be remembering but i could totally be wrong, though they do look extraordinarily similar and def could be related- but again I could be wrong.

Good song for Rachel. Not just the voices and lyrics, but the fact thats its not too Chirstmas-y. That was one of my biggest complaints with last year's Christmas episode. Rachel seemed much more Christian than Jewish. It was actually really annoying.

I love Tina's voice, but all she has really sung is a line in America, and back-up in Mercedes' Spotlight. Rachel is a senior, while Tina is a junour. The only people really singing this season are Blaine, Santana and Mercedes.

@TheHotSexBomb Interesting name. I love both of their voices, but it's not like they have had heaps of solos in previous seasons. Rachel had four solos in three episodes at the start of season 2. Spoiler, they are both featured at Sectionals, which is the episode before the Christmas one, so that should be nice. I just wish glee would stop being the Rory and Baine show and focus back to the original characters, such as Rachel.

@DangerousFayth I have nothing against Blaine, but ever since Teenage Dream he has had a large amount of screen time. He is still going to be around, so why waste talent that isn't. If they are bringing characters who are still going to be around to the front of the show, where is Tina and Artie? Lea tweeted that she has to prepair for a Rachel solo, so I think that means this is going to be in the show, since it is to my knowledge they are up to filming the Christmas episode. Year after Kurt.

Look I have calamed down, and I could have written the comment gentler maner, but I'm a huge Lea Michele fan and I've been missing her voice this season. Tina and Artie are jouners, so they'll be around next year, Finn had a fair bit to sing in two of last episode's mash-ups and Quinn has never really sung much in the first place. I think the song has been confirmed, so my original comment is almost invalid now.

@Purplemoosiy I suppose you're right, but there is a difference between having 'all the solo' to none. I think it's good that some of the others are stepping up, especially Naya, but Lea can sing things that no one else can. I don't like comparing the actors' voices, because they all are strong in different areas, but for me Lea can cover the most styles, which lets her sing so many differnt songs. She can do this and Katty Perry. I just want a nice balance on glee, not replacing a vital member.

@bananabuck Preach! People are complaining when Rachel gets one song, while most of ND and TT has already had more. Naya deserves the chance to sing, but Lea is much more emotional. With Rachel banned for Sectionals and all that there really shouldn't be any complants about her getting all the songs, which some people have responded to my comment with. Rachel is co-captain of the club and one of their most experienced singers, she should be singing more songs than the majority of the cast.
