  • "It does happen in reality" lol, you need to get out more.

  • nice tie hipster douchebag!

  • Load of cock

  • Intel loses monopolistic pricing lawsuit, AMD/ATI stomp all over Intel in the GPU market, Nvidia doesn't want to touch Intel with a 10ft pole... result? Intel pushes a CPU heavy rendering algorithm as the new wave of rendering technology, despite poor performance, inefficient algorithms, and marginal gains in appearance. Raytracing might one day be the bread and butter of gaming, but GPU's can be retooled to handle rays in parallel just like polygons if that paradigm arrives.

  • SO wth is ray tracing??

  • @9208115 BASICALY YOU SHOOT RAYS OUT OF THE CAMERA AND THE FIRST THING THEY TOUCH IS THE COLOUR OF THAT PIXEL. sorry for caps, cba to retype.

  • His last explanation is a bit lacking. It doesn't explain multiple lights, and the way he explains it, shadows would be pitch black

  • They sure pad this with a lot of meaningless fluff. It's very tedious.

  • Holy Crap. My Church is at the back of intel

  • The FUCK.

  • Where did they get that wiry pancake man?

  • What the... He has Halo 3 on his PC behind him at 1:00

  • all the software is created by a pc -.-"

  • I know that. I think he is rubbing it in. I want it for my PC

  • What is he wearing?

But anyway, at least Ray Tracing is going to be used in gaming more and more now.

  • nice fps

  • @s34mu5 time for an upgrade

  • ray tracing was impossible to be rendered in real time 10 years ago...

  • we're still unable to render in real time ray tracing on a basic computer!

  • That's because GPUs are not optimized for Raytracing but heavily optimized for rastirization.

  • @Kyrax1 I agree with u, GPUs still had no gut to jump to raytracing

  • Such a shame an obvious nerd is so unaware of basic physical light properties... The engine lags and looks so 90s. Intel has a long way to go, and it most certainly won't walk it by calling itself "Sponsor of Tomorrow" LOL - thats so lame

Daniel could use a bit more weightlifting IMO :) He's pretty chubby

  • @avrilinblood Come on dude, its real time raytracing! IMO, the only reason you think it 'looks so 90s' is because of the textures on the environment and the fact that is a brightly sunlit world when you're used to 'dark and grimy' games. Real time raytracing has massive potential for realism.

  • ow, it lags

  • The tech has a long way to go but at least they are giving it a good kick in the rear.

  • interesting, would love to see this in games :)
