Millo was phenomenal at this stage in her career - she had everything: the voice, technique, musicianship and temperament to be one of the greatest Verdi soprano of all time. Why she didn't have a bigger international career than she did is a mystery to me.

Millo was/ is a great Verdi Soprano. So like the young Tebaldi. No praise higher in my book. Brava.

Ravishing tone

When I was 18 I saw my first opera. The Met. Il Trovatore. She was the standin for Eva Marton who was 'sick'. Millo was phenomenal. Sang with Pavarotti, Cossotto, Milnes. It was a great night and a great memory.

Who is always in great voice? No one, I have followed Miss Millo's career for over 20 years and have almost everything she ever sang, and for 95% she is in astounding and amazing voice. Go hate elsewhere. Brava Millo. Brava!!!!!!

And pssst, you should correct your remark about Hampson and Rodrigo. Italian version in 1993, French one 1996. That's no twenty years. ;-)
