It was plugged in when they started to play and just unplugged before the shot was taken (in the heat of the battle :).....you can see some photos on their myspace where the mpo is clearly connected to the USB. I really cant believe, they would fake their concert in such a stupid way.

usually a live dj performance is slightly differant then the original track, they usually controll the faders and what-not

it could vary, in most cases the original will be the better version just because its more fine tuned, but certain live remixes of certain songs are better than the original in some cases
