This news station is very impressive. It's one of the most accurate news reports about cubing I've ever seen. The only questionable thing is that they treat color-blindness like it makes colors invisible...

Hundreds of people can do it blindfolded. Although Harris Chan IS very impressive, he doesn't have to be an "Asperger left-brainer" like you say to do it. It isn't as uncommon as you'd think.
