  • dilla is hip hop. his beats honestly changed my life...

  • @DjSkyfaze i used to refer as this beats aesthetic as "hip hop" beats, like... pete rock was soulful, funkily drummed music, but all the early dilla productions to me were something new, as if hip hop had a sound of its very own... and yeaaaars later, ur comment remind me of that... such an underrated cat when it comes to the true reasons to his dopeness, and an overrated hipster phenomenon, DOPE producer. really.

  • @neopandorex2 maybe but im sure if he was alive and all the rest of his fans would agree that his music is hip hop. i really hope you are not accusing me of being a hipster who just started listening to him. i grew up on his music. im a native philly resident and he collaborated with the roots a lot. i also grew up on badu, tribe, pharcyde and common. i blast tribe and wu tang all the time. dilla helped shape my love for hip hop growing up. i may be young but i know hip hop better thanmostmyage

  • only guessing here, but i'm assuming dilla is using an Ahmad Jahmal sample, you know.... the name doesn't give any hints ;)

  • 1:05 is where its at J dilla and Nujabes are some K*I*N*G*S!!
