Congratulations on the 8 pounds!! Be careful though, don't push it too hard after. Let your body fully recover from an illness and be patient in the first week after because often we will stay the same weight the first week after an illness. Don't worry though because you are still losing fat, it's just that in that first week your body is going to recover lost water and glycogen.
@Mr40by40 I've been thinking about your comment here regarding not pushing too hard too soon. I did go to the gym last night. I worked out on the treadmill for 20 minutes and did fine with that. I then moved over to the stairclimber and started to feel my body getting weak after about 10 minutes, so I stopped and went back to the treadmill for another 35 minutes but at a low speed. I've tried my best to listen to what my body is telling me. I agree, & don't want to over do it.
Glory be to God! Tim you are doing awesome. You keep up the good work. I remember when you first start lossing, you was worry about getting out the 400's in the 300's. And you said usually when you get in the 300's you end up right back to the 400's. But God, you are on your way. God is good. You keep up the great work. You are on your way in reaching your goal.
@ToGiveGlory I definately did hit a plateau. On my last 5 updates I was at 399, then 396, then 395, then 393, then 388, & now 380. It took 3 weeks to lose 6 pounds, & I was working out really hard... It's wierd how my body was not wanting to go below that 390 range. I think my body was just use to being at that weight, & it didn't know how to react. I was excited about the 8 pound loss, & I'm hoping to keep that weight goin down. Thanks for your encouragement. You are one of my favorite ytubers.
Awesome week!!! Your body will hit plateaus. Some weeks you feel like you majorly bust your butt in the gym and you hardly lose weight. Dont forget you are converting to more muscle. Just keep doing your plan. It is working great!!!
@GMPNY Thank you! Yeah, the muscle gain and water retention.... I agree with you totally! It's funny how these things can be confusing when you are in the middle looking in.. I was unhappy with my results 3 & 4 weeks ago.. But over the course of the last four weeks, I have lost a total of 15+ pounds.. I am fine with that result overall.
don't forget that it c an take awhile for weight to actually get from point a to point b. From what I've read it can take up to 2 weeks for hard work to show up. Just keep on doing what you're doing and you'll get there!
@TsuniNight I have never heard that before... So it can take up to 2 weeks for your body to lose fat based on your food intake and exercise? Wow!! I didn't know that, & it's very good to know. I've thought that the results would be pretty quick after exercise... You burn the fat, & it shows up immediately on the scale.. Thank you for sharing, because I've been wondering what I was missing on that. Wasn't adding up. My diet has been perfect over the last several weeks, so I wasn't sure..
Tim, I go through this with my wife. She goes through the same thing. Just keep doing the right things and have faith you are doing the right thing. I have lost 17 lbs in two weeks.
@JeromeStein4U Great job on your weight loss!! That is a great start!! Yep, I will definately stick with it. Gonna give God the glory all the way to 255!!
I would guess the body was simply adjusting to the rapid energy drain on the 2 weeks intensive training. Also there would be some loss in fat and some gain in muscle mass making the overall 'loss' seem less, but overall you gained in health.
if you felt ill for a week you are less likely to have eaten as much so that would contribute to some of the weight loss.
@Knightyme Hi Peter! Thanks for commenting, & I do agree with you. I think my body had a chance to let down over this last week. So the weight shedded off because of much needed rest. I haven't worked out like this in years, & so my body probably doesn't know how to react to the exercise. I did eat the same amount of calories this week though, so it wasn't because of my diet changing or because of eating less. I have a really organized diet plan which my wife & I came up with.

Water retention and muscle weight play such a huge part in our showing the pounds leaving us. Glad you are feeling better.
