Maybe those were cut for some reason. I could imagine why spike ceilings would be cut. It would be kind of hard to determine when you would actually be "dead" under the ceiling or just being crushed.

You may have noticed this as well, the turrets didn't talk in the trailer like they do in the real game, instead they just beeped a lot.

hmm, i also love monkey island, and i loved this game ^ ^ the first time you play through the game the levels are'nt that difficult, but once you unlock the advanced chambers - harder versions of the ones you beat - those are definetely harder and worth trying

Are the puzzles mind-bending? are they challenging enouug for me to sit and think about the problem for a few minutes (me being one of those people who love the monkey island series). It looks really clever and original and i can see a lot of potential in this game.

The puzzles in the actual game are nowhere near as complex as the ones in this trailer. The actual game is more like a training buildup of how to use the portal gun, followed by a few much longer levels where you use everything you learned to get through longer (but not necessarily harder) challenges. It seems like an introductory prequel of sorts. There are challenge modes in the game which -are- mindbending, where you have to beat levels within a limited number of steps/portals/etc. ^^

The game isn't very hard and you can finish it in about two hours. If you want a real challenge play the advanced rooms and earn medals for completing them with the least number of portals, etc.

theres no falling damage in this game. So you can jump from anywhere without dying.

you can however die in many other ways.

and no, the game is not hard. after the first few stages you get used to the machanics.

before i played the game, this video was a complete mistery to me.

Actually, it's easy to get out of an infinite loop. The difficult part, in fact, is staying in one. There are challenges in the game, one of which is to fall 30,000 feet.

I haven't played the game, but in reality (with portals) you should get out of the infinite loop ASAP since you will pick up speed. THEN you will turn into a stain on the floor :D

Sorry I forgot to mention this was when I played it at LAN, took ages for me to download because I needed to sort my networking, just my mountain dew lasted longer than the first 18 levels. The last level was as long as the first 18 and the whole thing was done in under 2 hours, not had time to do the other stuff.

I am sorry I judged it before fair game, I was just a little miffed to be on the last level inunder 60 mins.
