pat:I voted for Huckabee in the primaries b/c I liked the fair tax, he was a good governor & he's a man who appears to be very trustworthy. When I see his show occasionally, he's always respectful to his guests even if they disagree w/ him. At the time, I thought Ron Paul was "out there" but now-if he ran on a 3rd party ticket, I'd vote for him. Again, opening my eyes has led me to this. I believe Beck is also coming to these conclusions as time goes by although he was never a fan of McCain.

Actually, Beck does (in his annoying way) make a good point.
On most (NOT all) issues, McCain is a Democrat with an "R" next to his name. He would have done MANY of the same things that Obama is trying to do. The D's would have gone with him, and the R's wouldn't have questioned him. He would have little opposition.
I think having Obama in office generates the same healthy and boisterous opposition that was present against Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr, etc. It was good then, and it is good now.

We can't afford this, I don't want to make my childrens children in debt, plus the private sector (if allowed by govt) could provide better prices and better quality. If it were a true free market. ie. Lasik Eye surgery, no govt intervention, no insurance, was expensive and risky initially, now very cheap and low risk.

No, don't blow it out of proportion. Obama is trying to reform healthcare, not control it. Healh care is too expensive. He's doing what a good leader should do: take care of its people.

If he was trying to reform he would push to make it legal for all insurance companies to compete across state lines or push for tort reform. These are major reasons the market is distorted. I agree health care is too expensive, i just dont think you can fix a govt created problem with more govt. I believe he means well. With freedom comes the responsibility of caring for yourself and family. Govt is not supposed to nanny us through life. They are supposed to protect out liberty and rights.

Canadian health Care system works pretty good! Health care there is excatly that, taking care of your health...in the states health care is big business. How come in such a wonderful nation like the U.S , in this day and time you have to pay insurance? I had two knee operations, three kids delivered, and countless trips to my family physician and the cost of this in Canada out of MY pocket is $O.00.

The reason I agree in some ways with Beck on this is that when you support a progressive conservative you do more harm to your beliefs, principles and message. Bush set the beliefs of true conservatism back so far, it's unbelievable. For example, here we have TYT seriously suggesting that "deregulation" caused the problem instead of too much government interference and manipulation into the market. But I look at these things differently.

He said he preferred Hillary more than Obama. Hillary supported Universal Healthcare (which would be a government takeover of health care). Obama is merely supporting a government health insurance option (if you want another health insurance plan, you can choose it).
Put simply, if Obama is a socialist Hillary is a radical socialist. However, Hillary is not a socialist; she's moderately left for world politics.

... nearly everyone politically aware knows deregulation allowed this crisis. The right blames the deregulation on Barney Frank and the Democrat minority in the Senate and House, whereas the left blames the deregulation on Bush and the Republican majority in the Senate and House (both sides pushed for different forms of deregulation).
Regulations are like speed limits, they're needed.

Fatty is losing some weight. Beck is 100% correct. McCain is just slightly better than O'. If you watch Beck, he said that, because repubs are almost as bad as demos. McCain voted for Cap 'n Tax, he still wanted to increase govt like Bush did, and because of radical left Obama, people are now taking a stand. Whereas they wouldn't have if McCain was pres. The point Beck is trying to make is that McCain wouldn't have aroused all this public interest in govt the way Obama has.

That's the problem with sound bits. "Not connecting the thoughts"? McCain responded to Beck's comment and said he was glad to be compared to Roosevelt, he was McCain's hero. Beck said on his program to read TR's 1910 "New Nationalism Speech" to clarify why he said his comment of which you rant "without connecting the thoughts." Reading that speech makes clear who McCain is and that we were headed for more government control with him. I ask you... who needs the audience?
