And first of all it's not called fuckin aliens3! It's Alien3 not aliens3! I liked alien ,aliens, and alien 3 it was batter than alien 4 reason why alien 3 is good because it's dark and cold, and the alien I think was really good you cunts may not like alien3 but I do.
@SuperHorrormovies When i see comments like this im reminded of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao and the fact i wish their parents, like yours, used a fricking condom instead of birthing a ripe turd.
This fat gay dude on the right is not only annoying, but a very unfair reviewer. Granted Alien 3 (not Aliens 3 like he keeps saying, which is funny as he points out irrelevent details all the time) and Alien Ressurection were flawed but they were not as bad as he is saying. Also, we all know the 1st 2 films were great, and the 2nd 2 were not considered great, so why just repeat what everyone already knows? I feel the 2 reviewers on the left were much more centered and not just trying to hate.
Ridley Scott stated (in a 'Starburst' magazine interview for 'Blade Runner') that he'd wanted Harrison Ford to play Dallas, but had backed off that idea, since he thought Ford would turn down another space film so soon after Star Wars.
I think the one guys reaction to Alien 3 is pretty exaggerated. The Assembly Cut is pretty damn good. Sure, its not as perfect as the first 2, but its damn good. It's a bleak, mean spirited film with a great performance by Weaver. Some of the CGI is weak, but the visuals and effects are great for the most part. The Assembly Cut adds more character and heart to the film. And of course he had to say "Oh they killed Newt and Hicks!"
The lack of knowledge on display in this video is rather alarming: they can't properly remember the movie tagline, they can't remember Alan Dean Foster, Jon Finch played Kane originally, etc. Some major blunders that are rather inexcusable for (supposed) movie buffs. And this is just within the first 6 minutes...
@9mod9 They're entitled to their own opinion. You can't claim that your choice of films are universally accepted as the greatest. That's the beauty of films; They're subjective.
"Alien" also influences the great b-movie classic "Teror Within".
I am not sure what is meant by the statement that the deleted caccoon scene in "Alien" pops up in "Aliens". If they're refering to Newt then it's not the same.
The "Alien" scene shows humans turning into eggs, while in "Aliens" it's just Newt held in place for the face-hugger. Cameron's movie changed the creature's life-cycle into an insect-like one.
Alien 3 was a BIG downer seeing it back in 92' opening weekend. I was so depressed upon the opening credits when we find out Newt and Hicks are dead and there really isn't even a plausible reason for why they died.
"Ironsides" is not just the name of a 70s cop character you RETARD. "Ironsides" is a slang term going back centuries for naval ships reinforced to withstand cannonball attacks. The space pirates call the wheelchair guy "Ironsides" in jest, because he's fucking weak but he does have iron on his sides.
Plus, it's "ALIEN Resurrection" not "ALIENS Resurrection" you freaking goofball.
Allen 3 is bad; Even looking back with rose tinted shades doesn't help - it's just a confused film. Resurrection is so bad, it's almost good. If you watch it as a sci-fi comedy, then it can be quite entertaining. I was pleasantly surprised at how good AVP was though - a good popcorn flick.
It's funny that mike says bad dialogue is when every other word is fuck, because he loves The Devil's Rejects and the dialogue is just as bad as in Alien 3.
do you guys have a lot of shows that you taped years ago but have yet to post? I'd love to see 'em. I live in Oregon and can't see this on New York public access.
Alan Dean Foster is the novelist who adapted a lot of film screen plays. He ghost-wrote the first Star Wars film's book adaption, came up with the initial draft of the Star Trek TMP and did the first three Alien book adaptions among many others.
what do you all think of the planned Alien prequel?
For me, one way that could work is if there are no humans, Just the Space Jockey civilization and the Aliens. Maybe the latter can destroy the former. Hmm?
But...that would mean no Ripley. And even though Sigourney Weaver has spent last decade distancing herself from that role, Fox and Ridley Scott might feel compelled to somehow include her in the prequel
i gotta say alien: resurrection has one very well acted scene though. and it's when Ripley finds these other 7 clones of her who were disfigured or crippled and then this one clone wants her to kill it.
i thought that was one of the better scenes in the movie.
Personal order: Aliens (by a friggin landslide), Predator 2, Alien, Predator, Alien 3, Requiem, Versus.
Alien 4 is OFF the list as it has ZERO redeeming attributes (well, ok, the under-water alien-swimmin shot) except for PURE shittiness. Insulting shittiness, actually.
Probably the only thing I liked about AVP: Requiem was the shot where they visited the Predator planet at the beginning. But I'm sorry....I still hate it!!
Planet of the Vampires by Mario Bava was another big influence on Alien. A lot of the story is already there. Alien3 had some good ideas, but disspointed. The 4th is even worce. A bad comedy, well shot by Darius Khondji. Hated it so much I refused to buy the Alienbox. Just bought the first 3 seperatley. (Never saw 3 again, eventhough I got it) Scott himself was going to do a new one. Turns out hes producing and Carl Rinsch is directing. It will be a prequel; how trendy. Itll probably suck.

Some movie series start good and go downhill (Superman) some alternate between good and bad (Star Trek) Some get better as they go along (Harry Potter) Some maintain their quality (LOTR) and some were just bad to begin with and should never have started in the first place (AvP). Just like the Superman films, after the first 2 Alien movies, they should have quit. Maybe sometime soon they will do a remake or a prequel, and then we can discuss these again.
Another great show. Does anybody remember the teaser for Aliens 3 that was for the version that was going to be set on Earth. The tag line was "On Earth, Everyone can hear you scream."
Yes I say it, Aliens aint that amazing, it is kinda lame to send a team of 8 soldier to rescue a station of 150 people, especially considering the thread, oh sorry it does make sense when Cameron say it....
