  • Mama Maya lives with me. Papa Terry was with me since a pup, however I could not break him from chasing the chickens and he now lives nearby. I enjoyed it when I had both dogs, and it was very interesting to see how the different breeds behaved. Maya is extremely affectionate. Terry has an exuberant love of life and is more intelligent than Maya.

  • OMG PUPPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Geez, I feel bad for the mother that had to deliver 13 puppies!... How many times did you breed her?

  • No need to feel bad for Mama Maya. She was 3 yrs old, first litter. She was big - could hardly walk up the stairs - so I knew there were a lot of pups in there - I even joked 13! When she seemed to be going into labor I made a little nest for her and prepared a warming box for the pups. He sister Kika (a cat!) licked her while she was in labor. (to be continued)

  • (continued)The pups slipped out between 10 minutes and up to several hours apart. She cleaned them and ate the placentas, and I removed them to the warming box when a new one came out. It was a joyous experience for Maya, and certainly for me as well. No more babies yet, but I am considering breeding her again.

  • umm i'd choose the one that is under the chair- they're adorable

  • its so hard to give em away

  • cute so many

  • Sorry, they are all in their new homes now. But keep looking! From all the reports I got, these pups are smart, fearless, cuddley, and easy to train. Research F1 hybrid vigor to see how the best characteristics of the parents are passed down to the offspring. Get a home-raised pup - studies show that moms that are petted while they carry their pups produce calmer and healthier pups. The same thing is true of pups that are handled from birth. Good luck!

  • we live in NH and are interetsed in a puppy. How can we contact you?

  • too cute

  • Well, Barack lives in Boston now where he is well-loved. Everyone has been just thrilled with their new babies - Mama Maya did a good job! I only have 2 left at home with me, Old Yeller and Tommy.

  • Ohh soooooo cute! That would be cool if Barack called you guys up and asked for one, hehe.

  • Here are the names we finally chose: Barack, Old Yeller, Bubba, Chico, Tommy, Big Blue, Tealy, and Billy. The girls are Pinky, Lila, Evita Maria, Eliza Jane, and Katie Dear. Mama's name is Maya.
