my mate and I were roasting it near my place and cops found us.... They didnt give us a ticket all they wanted to know was if it was a rotary or not :P
sounds really nice! much better than i thought. Not like a typical coffee can rice rocket exhaust at all. I'll have to pick one of these mufflers up for my '92
That sounds awesome, man! I just ordered a Magnaflow cat back system for my '08. Can't wait to get it. . . I'm really glad it doesn't sound 'airy'. Instead, yours sounds nice, deep, and throaty, as it should. Check out some videos of restored '67 Austin Healey or Triumph TR5, or '63 Jaguar E-type. They sound superb, and this system of yours approximates the basic sound. Except that the old cars mentioned are all inline 6's instead of a 4 cyl. . But that's ok it sounds superb !
sounds really nice, i love how it has a deep tone, without sounding like a stereotypical ricer. Which is hard not to do with a small engine, you picked up a good exhaust!
What I did was cut the muffler out, cut it in half, gutted it, the put a pipe in place of it, welded the two muffler halves back on, then you got yourself a wonderful sounding straight pipe. (:
That's a smooth bass sound, unlike the crackling I hear from some pipes. (Not everyone wants their car to sound like a dirt bike). I'm assuming the sound warms to near silence in overdrive and 3000 RPMs.
the exhuast and intake is all the mod. u have in this video ? i wanna get a exhaust system, i don't want something that are too loud, the sound in this video sounds good enough to me
hey can you tell me how much it cost to put that on and where? i got a 94 miata and i like what you have there, that magnaflow. please tell me, it sounds really badass
Thanks! I am not sure what exactly the silensor is. I just bolt on midpipe and muffler. The end tip looks pretty big but actually the muffler sound is pretty quite compare to most aftermarket mufflers.
There will be one hole for O2 sensor in midpipe. If you don't have O2 sensor on midpipe, you have to get a spark plug to fill the hole.
wow thats exactly the sound i want from my miata. too bad im not going to spend $500 on an exhaust.

Is this a catback or muffler?
HighOnBass 6 months ago
Wow, and exhaust that actually sounds good. Its doesn't sound like a rattlebox, but it makes me think more refinement. Its tasteful. Thanks

Great sound, could you give me the exact specifications of your magnaflow muffler..........e.g. oval 5x8 18" long. so i can copy you :)
cheers mate

Funny, it almost sounds like a rotary at high rpm's.

that sounds nice, unlike other videos where their miatas sound like stereotypical ricers. your car sounds nice

is it magnaflow street series or race series?
barren44 2 years ago
is your exhaust resonated, or is it just a straight pipe from the cat all the way to the muffler?

thanks, i feel bad for those motors whos owners dont warm it up lol

@siccamade5150 i feel bad for numerous people having to put up with dumbass questions about warming the engine before revving.

RosieKR 2 years ago
intake if your best bet for power. id say anywere from 5-10 hp realisticly.. moreso 6-7 hp.
no cat, headers, intake, 2,1/2 exhaust your looking at about 15-20 horsepower. AT MOST
mikeol1222 2 years ago
lol full exhaust will give u about 3 horsepower and dippy all your low end torque if you go aanything fatter then 2.1/2 on n/a

magnaflows are fucking 450 dollors stupid amount of money
TheFlankRIght 2 years ago
most of the brand name miata exhaust are $400+, sometimes you can find some great deal on craigslist. I got my exhaust for 75 dollars.
zYzmrZIzYz 2 years ago
But it adds 20hp as soon as you put it on a Miata.
squirrely911 2 years ago
yea those numbers are way overrated
TXs14 2 years ago
Depends on what model your talking about
squirrely911 2 years ago
no miata is going to get 20hp from a muffler. period.
TXs14 2 years ago 2
The muffler is the rear end of the exhaust, the Magnaflow is a complete catback exhaust system, not a muffler.
squirrely911 2 years ago
even then...20hp is too high of a number unless your talking about a full exhaust with a header
and its rwhp wouldnt even come close at all
TXs14 2 years ago
Can you give me more details specific to this exhaust? I love this sound. It's quiet and sounds great.
StockDC2 2 years ago
2.25 or 2.5 piping, 4 inches tip. not a light weight exhaust , it weighs about the same as stock if not more.
zYzmrZIzYz 2 years ago
more power to you if you paint your calipers man
thehappypyro 2 years ago
Zoom-Zoom stickers will add another 5hp on the wheel ! haha

Hi this is just stock replacement exhaust. so it is chambered.
tomydego 4 years ago
Mmm weird, can you take a picture of the catback and send it to my email? thx!

magnaflow mufflers feature a straight through design with glass packing
graybeardbass 3 years ago

My dad has one on his 97 miata, they're very good exausts, going to his cost about $450
Soffex 4 years ago
Yeah, I do think they are one of the best sounding exhaust for Miata. Its not too loud too.
tomydego 4 years ago
you do stand still burn outs by power braking.
i revved till about 5k rpm and dropped the clutch then slammed on brakes..
pretty common technique
iamElijah 4 years ago
Do u know how much hp this adds to your miata?
w3alvnbg674 4 years ago
You can only feel a little bit of HP gain. I would say about 5hp.
