  • 0:33 creepy face

  • ooo my good

  • wait 6-10 years , and it will actually be air

  • *orgasm* OMG OMG LOOK HOW THIN... oh shit.. I.. JIZZED IN MY PANTS

  • Well the cd rom is external and that only sucks lol they eliminated cdrom to make it that thin so boo not cool

  • Apple were the first to throw away the floppy disc, and people were complaining about that too. keep up, man!

  • @hvglaser Same with CRT,might have been complaints

  • Do you speak Spanish?

  • i love how you say OMG at 0:16 :D realy nerdy :P

  • @souldragon9 I KNOW RITE hes like "((oh my god))" says it flat LOLZ ! ! ! :D

  • dont drop it steve

  • Oh, it's stronger than you realize, it's the toughest notebook on the market except for some special panosonic models.

  • ah fuck!...I can't believe you've done this

  • he was like o..my god

  • haha...yeah that was the funniest thing i've heard in a while!

  • Im sorry, I have respect for apple and i don't like to comment like this, but it sounded like the entire audience was trying to suck up the steve there.I mean, yeah its thin, but its still just a laptop

  • steve jobs is a genius! i love mac ;)

  • O RLY?! He's so genius he dropped out of college after one semester! Damn he's so smart!!!

  • Listen to those mac fanboys. The camera man says 'oh my god' like someone was stabbed in front of him. Fagget.

  • its spelt "faggot"

  • lol it looks like you could rip it!

  • nah, it's nade out of tough anodized aluminum, the same material climers use for their hooks, it's one rock solid device, that's for sure!

  • it is

  • thank you, they put spam on my comment like come on if you dont think its easily breakable your retarded.

  • have your ever held one in your hand?

  • do i have to? you guys just rate negative on my comments because you love this laptop. Fact is it looks very breakable and im sure it is my opinion, not only that but this laptop is over rated good job Steve you made the thinnest laptop in the world but its pretty useless at least for what i do and yes i have a laptop.

  • sorry lol. i guess i just thought you said the macbook air IS breakable. maybe i am a 'fanboy' after all, protecting my mac products haha. still, even if it is useless for what you do, i'm sure apple knows what they're doing and that there's a market for this. from all the forums and the shortages in stores, it seems like the air is doing quite well. anyway, have a nice day :)

  • omg that is so thin!!! only problem if macs make the next one thinner no one would buy it it would be 2 tin easier to loose or fal between stuff.

  • that is so cool.

  • i want it!

  • it's not that weak, i sleep on it for a day and it didn't break. your can try it. it actually felt really smooth.

  • hes lucky he didnt drop it.. woulda been funny haha

  • lol i no hes holding it with one hand

  • It is to slow

  • its actually faster than many "midrange" pc laptops at best buy which also have 1.6 ghz. But instead of Core 2 Duos, they have AMD turions. The Macbook air ialso has 2 gb of ram.

  • Man... the "Angry German Kid" could snap that with his pinky.

  • i'd break that in like 5 minutes

    too thin

    unless its made of titianium

    thin=weak

  • no its made out of aluminum...or atleast its shell is aluminum. its actually pretty durable, from what i've heard.

i was thinking the same thing when i got my ipod touch, but its actually really durable.. you have to hold it, to feel how durable it is.

  • Of course its not a durable as a normal mac book, but life is full of sacrifices. You would get this if you wanted a thin laptop, not a durable one.

  • truth.

  • actually, it's MORE durable than the plastic MacBook. it's built like a tank.

  • Incorrect, it's actually "more durable" than a MacBook. A MacBook is made from flexible plastic, while the Air is made from sturdy anodized aluminum. I have both and the Air is around 3 times stronger because of the material used and it's "seashell" design.

  • and it's Anodized, so it's FAR stronger than any Plastic based laptop. The MacBook Air is unbendable.

Anodized aluminum can be nearly as hard as diamond under the right anodizing process. Many modern buildings use anodized aluminum in places where the metal framework is exposed to the elements. Anodized aluminum is also a popular material for making high-end cookware. So, the MacBook Air is as strong as it gets.

  • im sorry mate, you just shot yourself in the foot:"you feel how durable it is", you cant "feel" how durable something is, ipods are always gonna be quite durable because of theyre dimensions, there just isnt enough depth in a mac book air to allow for a decent thickness of aluminium and the actuall computer.

  • your ignorance of materials is showing. the macbook air uses thick anodized aluminum, measuring around 4 times thicker than what is used on an iPod (classic) and about twice what is used on the MacBook Pro or previous PowerBooks. The bottom is carved out of a solid block anodized aluminum, so when you "feel" it, you can quickly tell it's a very sturdy object. Just curious, have you ever held a MacBook Air? If not, please keep your comments to yourself.

  • go on humor me, how thick is "thick". I reckon you need a thickness of about 3-5 mm for aluminium (anodised or not) to stand a chance compared to other laptops. And I have first hand experience of not being able to feel how sturdy something is, you can feel how dense something is, but you cant tell an items structure merely by touching it. For something that thin, I really think they could have splashed out on a more rigid material, such as a steel alloy, stainless probably.

  • A Lesson: The Universe is really just pure Energy, so with practice, when you "feel" something, you can tell its "energy level". The MacBook Air is thick,

  • Part 2:

No other laptop uses this thick of anodized aluminium which can be as strong as diamond.

No other material is this strong, this thin and can be used in a consumer product. You need to keep in mind Apple is a genius when it comes to materials, so once you touch, hold... the MBA, you'll clearly "feel" what I'm saying.

Until then, everything you post will be wrong.

  • well you just lost all credibility. Unless in the last week or so serious technological advancement have been made, aluminium in any for cannot be as strong as diamond. I have bent 2mm thick anodised aluminium, with my hands (not easily ill give you), I know I could not do that to diamond (or snap it).

"No other material is this strong, this thin and can be used in a consumer product" - the IBM think pads use titanuim, which is lighter and stronger.

  • sure it can, google exactly for: anodized aluminum "hard as diamond" and look at the first link... egg on your face again :) Trust me, you don't know your metals nor processes. You can't bend the MacBook Air, it's more rigid than the ThinkPads by a large margin, you'll see what I'm talking about at a later date.

  • lulz flamewars

  • I'm sorry but your talking pure nonsense.

First, before you're gonna discuss wich metal/alloy is the "hardest" you've first have to define what you mean by "hard", did you mean the Scratch hardness, Indentation hardness, ... because it's different for some materials.

    Secondly

Hardness (in any definition of it) doesn't say anything about the ability to bend! The yield stress does!

It's you who doesn't anything about this, your embarassing yourself.

  • Oh and diamond is ALWAYS harder than your anodised Aliminium. So are much alloys!

  • listen as all the fanboys bust loads in their seats

  • hahaha i know

  • i would break it... ouch!

  • oh my god that is thin :-)

  • time capsul is amazing

  • i dont understand time capsul.

like u delete somthing and then like u can retrive it? so like ur mom looks through ur internet browser and can pull everything up after u deleted it? like porn and facebook and porn?

  • you can choose what to save and if yo kept something less than one hour, you won't be able to "rescue" it... ;P

so if you want to be sure to keep a file (don't delete it or) keep it on your computer more than one day...

  • lol how old are you kid?

  • 80 GB space xDxD steve jobs is the man :D

  • wow i hope the company that i work for gets us new laptops preferbly this one!

  • Beautiful...but beauty ain't everything... -_-

  • its crap its got nothing

    nothing its just small

    how to install stuff ???????

    internett ??????

    itss baddddddd

    not goin to work

  • Install software on a PC/Mac with Remote Disk on iTunes

    Wireless 802.11n Wi-Fi internet

Its just a very beautiful/portable notebook.

  • its suprising how igrorant you are. if you're gona critisize smothing make sure u know what ur talking about. it's got 1.6 (or 1.8) ghz dualcore and amazing wifi card (next gen) and a decent grahpics card (256 mg).

  • Let's give you a little lesson in computers.

You install stuff wirelessly. You can download programs. Or if you want, have a seperate CD drive.

    Internet, Wireless. 802.11n Wi Fi

its not bad, it's very resourceful, innovative and smart. Good for traveling. Have you tried it.

  • I geuss u didn't see the whole conference... You better should do that. So you can see what it offers... don't judge till you know something about it...

  • O M G

  • "Built For The Future" 

  • lol

did you write this on every macbook air video you found ??!?

    :D

  • when touchpads first came into this world, people said "where´s the mouse?" people just are used to criticize things they cant understand or cant aford.. there must be people missing floppy disk drives too...

  • once again, apple continues to amaze us with there tiny products

  • one note for agressive copu-people! i think when u press the keyboard too hard it's gonna snap like a piece of paper

  • well it's beautiful.but it's also missing some key, traditional Mac functionality that might leave some users disappointed. No DVD and

There's no built-in Ethernet port This means you can't(apparently) network-boot unless you purchase the S$48 (US$31.58) USB-to-Ethernet adapter. Finally, you can't upgrade the MacBook Air's RAM (you're stuck with 2GB, the default) and there is no audio input port, though a built-in microphone is included.

  • sırff hava a.q. ibm in amına koyim

  • Exactly!

  • eventually they'll just combine the air and the macbook.

pretty much it will be as thin as the air, but with the specs of a macbook. give it 2 years.

    :D

  • lol, it will fail, no opticle drive, 1 usb port..... lol it will prolly bend easily

  • well, some people get by with just that

  • not to mention wen u plug in the external drive it has NO usb ports....

  • It has bluetooth which pretty much eliminates a need for a lot of usb ports.

  • If you want to spend a lot more for the components, yes.

  • i have bluetooth on my $1300 laptop with core 2 dup 8600m GS 160 gig hardd rive and dvdburner and still have 4 usb ports.... also its a 17 inch not a 13 inch...

  • Unbelievable!

  • Couldn't hide it, Bash :) I used one later and it's thinner than thinny-thin-thin.

  • Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing, for the ones who were not there..

  • Love the audible 'oh my god' from you Rob :-)
