one of the best breeds of a large dog ever. very smart, loving and strong dogs.

they require some effort in making them social as it is a guard dog breed and is very vary of strangers.

i had one... just amazing dog... very-very clever+

but i had to put her down because of health problems, which were due to age (16 years)

nobody believed that dog had not received any medicines in it's and was running one flight of stairs in two jumps only+

My Russian terrier Was a little agressive at 12 weeks, but every day I take him to the park to meet and play with other dogs. He is a year now and is completely sociable with people and other animals. i made sure he met horses/ cats as a puppy

hi everyone! i have a massive black russian terrier called monty but he is a nuisance :( he bites jumps up and chews everything. he scares away everyone we know because he is such a pain! Can you give me some advice on making him a good boy? he can be so friendly when he wants to be :)

Well, this may be too late, but dogs chew a lot because u are not giving them the exercise they need. Give him a chew toy as well. Also, you didn't socialize him enough. BRTs are protective and you have or had to in your case, tone that down a bit by socializing it a ton. Introducing it to people, dogs, everything when it was younger. Now, you need to send him to Obedience school b/c he is a WORKING dog. Needs more than just sitting around the house and the average walk.

@lydie1234 How old is your dog? It may be because he is younger and plus he is a large terrier. Also, he may not have been trained properly when he was a pup.

@lydie1234 How much exercise does your dog get? I don't own one myself, but from what I've heard about the breed and seen from people who own them, they are very high energy and need a lot of exercise. Perhaps you could train him for dog agility? It's great for high-energy dogs, and helps a lot with obedience.
