Kanye didn't direct the video. Nor did he or the director do research about what drums mean or dress mean. Kanye wrote a song, director formed a visible concept, and a choreographer choose the moves. A mix of african culture was used and I doubt the meanings behind the movement and dress were anything but borrowed. This effort that went into making this youtube was a waste of time.
