I had my roof fly off while I was driving my 06' C6 a few years ago. It gave me a reason to buy a clear roof panel at least! Thank god it didn't hit the car behind me. Talk about imbarrassing. Next car will have to be hard top Viper. ^-^

No z06's are supposed to have a removalable roof. There was an issue with 06 Z06's. The glue that holds down the roof had a different rate of expansion from the panel itself when exposed to heat. There is a company out there that will mod a Z to have a removable roof. Of course in a different manner than myself.

I hope you know that there is a double recall on the glue used to put that roof on & GM is replaceing them all for free. Just hope they dont catch wind of the this video, that might void it.

Then again you can always say that it was flapping so hard you were scared it would fly off and hit another car, there for you were forced to rip it off your self :D

The car was already under repair. That's why the headline was out. I was waiting for the new roof to come in so I had them tape down the top panel. Of course I didn't release this video to all was fully repaired with the car.
