  • Hi, where could these demos be found?

  • @EmuNext I added a link to my homepage in the video description, you can find the binary there.

  • ¿the VMU not have 200 MB of memory?

  • My god! Now do a demo for the Chip-8, because that's the only low-capable platform you haven't done anything for.

    Oh, and Brainf**k.

  • Behold the VMU and its ability to display up to EIGHT TRI-DIMENSIONAL TRIANGLES AT A TIME

  • sega, make the dreamcast 2 please, and shut up microsoft and sony and nintendo

(also make toy commander 2 and i will give you a hug)

  • The VMU was an amazing and overlooked piece of technology, especially considering it was only a memory card.

  • Holy shit, 0.6MHz did a pretty fucking good job.

  • ive got modern warfare 2 on my vmu

  • woah what the hell. this video is sped up, the VMU duznt run that smooth

  • haha i'm a noob with this system. how do i put games and play them on my VMU

  • beautiful

  • hahaha!!!

    amen.

I still have my old Commodore 64/Amiga and a few hundred floppys.

  • is this animation, or running in real time?

  • It's all realtime effects.

  • can u play this without the dreamcast console?

  • Well, it runs on the VMU standalone ofcourse, but there is no way to actually transfer the binary to the VMU without having a Dreamcast.

  • how many games can the vmu card hold?

  • I never said that it was. ;)

  • No, Microsoft did, Mostly by backstabbing the shit out of Sega and after the console died, They didn't let it rest in peace they stole a Shitload of original sega ideas and Layouts

  • i dont think anything microsoft is original there all rip offs of others ideas!

i think dreamcast was the last true gaming machine nowadays there all well lets say gameplay isnt the #1 for the consoles and am sick of the ''its all about graphics people''

  • I share the exact same opinion, But this happens in an age where the big company's with the most money will last the longest, obliterating Company's with true passion and legacy, and this isn't only happening in the Video gaming industry but also the Music business and other forms of entertainment. I Remain to embark true quality and gameplay, I Stil fire up my Dreamcast everyday :D Believe me i enjoy it more than any other console out there.

  • Nice random Capitalization and apostrophe's. The fact is that Sega lost all "true passion" sometime around the Saturn's release. At least, that's what the employees have said in interviews and the apparent message of SEGA GAGA (an RPG made by the Sega of Japan employees about working at Sega).

  • Lol'd at "last true gaming machine". What IS a "true gaming machine"? Not the PS2, Gamecube, XBOX, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, Game Boy Advance, DS, or PSP, apparently.

Saying that the Dreamcast is "the last true gaming machine" is like saying that the Amiga was "the last true multimedia computer".

  • @imydaking and the gamecube? it has one of the best gameplay like mario zelda and it has 3d graphics...

  • @imydaking I don't know a single person who seriously values graphics over gameplay. and games compared to back then have done nothing but improve. Remember it wasn't too long ago when all sega was good for was side scrolling beat em ups

  • SEGA killed Sega. They had the most awful management since Commodore.

    And what did Microsoft steal?

  • Tamagatchi Pets was a seriously

    missed VMU selling point!

  • I heared back in 2000 that the VMU was going to be able to play music like a MP3.. Too bad Dreamcast was discontiued...

  • Plz email me, i cant turn mine on :((((

  • VMU was a great idea and a little

ahead of its time. The next gen

vmu on the never to be announced

    Dreamcast 2 would be a MP4 video

player that you could take away your

game replay videos to show your

friends. Boo Hoo I miss the VMU.

And F**k off SEGA for abandoning

    the Dreamcast.

  • woah!!!!!

If it wasnt for sega, we would have never heard of the dreamcast! or the vmu!!!

  • Really? I had no idea!

If it wasnt for nintendo, we would have never heard of the nes! or the n64!!!

  • 1 kb of memory ? Not bad.

  • Very nice. Gives a nice point of view on how the VMU could of evolved over time.

If we saw second or third gen Dreamcast games I'm sure Sega would of even released a full color VMU.

Damn shame Sega supported the console for only a year and a half, the idiots actually got it right this time yet they decided to fuck off the fans.

Which is why I haven't bought a single Sega product since, unless it's for my Dreamcast.

  • it was peter moore from sega of america that fucked off fans and then quit Sega... and joined Microsoft.. who were supposed to be helping Sega to begin with with various exclusive softwares and features.

  • ah, the VMU. Good times. Good times

  • How do you turn it on?

  • if it doesnt turn on at the touch of the sleep button go buy watch batterys for it

  • Freaking awesome for 0.6 Mhz. :)

  • Wow, brilliant. Yeah, there have been a lot of releases (small effects, minigames) for the VMU but nothing like this, almost 3 minutes long. Btw, I also really liked Tunnel Game 3D, it's one of the first programs I tried on my GP32 :)

  • Very Nice demo, nice use of multiple grey color on a system only black/white.

This demo reminds me a little of "high hopes" for Nes.

  • Cool didn't realise that the Potato9cpu's name chip inside the vmu could do 3d graphics .

  • Great. No sound?

  • Very nice. :)

  • Nice :)
