Hi. I've played guitar and bass for years but never done the open tuning thing. My Republic Highway 61 (Bell Brass Body) Resonator turned up a couple of days ago and looks, feels and sounds great. Open G is the tuning that I've decided to focus on so your clip has been helpfull with getting the ball rolling. I'm currently in the process of gathering scales and chordings for open G.
Are you based in Australia? The mango tree in the back yard was the dead giveaway.
@frankkat111 LOL, Yes I am! I Live in Northern New South Wales, near Byron Bay. Didn't realise I'd somehow left some old footage of my daughter on that clip when I recorded over it, but it's kinda cute so I left it. As you've probably noticed I love Open G, but my new Republic seems to sing better in Open D so I've been playing in that tuning a lot lately. Thanks for your comments.
