  • when i practice the relax step i can sometimes hear slight clicks in my head, like when you stretch a stiff joint and it clicks and suddenly feels much better, and then the re-smile step sometimes brings a wave of euphoric contentment, it really helps with meditation and happy well-being, thank you very much!

  • @NlKNAK72 - You are welcome. I think you are understanding this!

  • As someone who also pursued vipassana intensely, gained some classical attainments and made progress through that practice, I can confirm emphatically that what Bhante V is teaching is much, much, much more effective, pleasant and balanced. Even the pragmatic dharma community are now embracing the classic sutta approach and it will be wonderful to see the dhamma spread further and clearer in this confused day and age. Metta. Tommy.

  • Thanks, I find his teachings quite helpful. A particular emphasis on the "Calming bodily formations" stage is his something I have not heard in many other places, maybe one other teacher. But it is so important. Everything he says is such a very clear, expression of the four tetrads in the Anapanasati Sutta. In fact, I have been discouraged by poor progress but this teaching allows me to recognize that as a distraction and return to the object that I experienced so well when I first heard him.

Thank you very much for your comment. I shared your kind comment with the Bhante. If you follow the simple instructions that he has laid out you will find your progress is much faster. There are a number of videos with more detailed instructions. Please feel free to take a look. --David--

  • Thanks, they are very helpful.
