they dont use the sheet music for the songs actually, they do to help, but they honestly dont. A good example how they F'ed up is Ring of Fire on GH5, its much harder in real life. And Re-education through Labor, it fuses the rhythm and lead guitar actually... both games fuck up the music really

I think the RB vs GH debate is lame. It just depends on what people like.

But I will say that the 500 song comment thrown out there by everyone is lame. Yes, you have WAYYY more options with RB, but alot of the songs for DLC are crap (same with GHWT DLC) and a handful are from RB1. Anddddd, about 350 of those songs come with a price tag.

to be honest just looking at them you can see that they are the same. Personally i feel guitar hero has better drum and guitar controls though. Also i think guitar hero is much more synched and harder to play which makes it more rewarding when you play well. The main thing though is the music you like, both games have great tracks and shit tracks, just check out the track listings for both games, and the downloadable content before you decide! hope that helps.

I own both, and have five starred every song on expert on guitar AND drums on GH:WT. Guitar Hero: World Tour is not hard, and has many absolutely terrible songs.

Rock Band has a song library of 500+ songs, while WT has less than 150.

Not to mention Rock Band 2 is much harder than World Tour, and much prettier to boot.

the drums in world tour r designed to play like real drums hence y there is no seperate note for the lift of the high hat(symbolised by the blue on rb)as ur already using the high hat so tht makes sense but i think its a game so u want it to play as a game, rb charts look better and cleaner cut as gh uses shitty dark colours but i honestly think u need to own both games just for all the songs available on both games

I had beeten guitar hero 1, 2 and 3 on expert, but When guitar hero 4 came out I decided to switch to RockBand, It's Better and Has more effort put into it.

On gamespot:

Guitar hero 4 was rated 8.0

RockBand 1 was Rated 9.0

GHWT had a lot more effort put into it. more customization for your characters and instruments, custom songs and sharing them online, more realistic drums, drums that are louder when you hit the drum harder, and much more features that improve upon rockbands features and that are new to either of them.

Activision surprised everybody by how well they have handeled this task to make the game and keep up with rock band. Even Guitar Hero World Tour is pretty close if not better than RB2. The only bad thing about World Tour is that they do not have the base for DLC where Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 1 share the DLC.

yea its just from the different angles the charts come from. makes it look more spaced out actually the notes come at the same time and same place. You can tell also by looking when he hits the snare the second one pops up , this is on both of them. its just the angle i dont know ive always liked guitar heros angle on the chart better, it does give it a more spaced out feeling
