Because our illiterate, non-representing-representative, government, spends $53,000 dollars a second of people's hard earned tax dollars, and whatever they come up short on the go begging to The Fed to just print up another few hundred billion or so more, making your hard earned money worth less.

If only it were that simple. Unless our Gov reputes the debt, we'd still have to pay the interest on the notes The Fed invented.
As for the min-wage that would have to be determined by your work place.
So long as you both agree and the government stays out of it.
Then of course we'd need a 100% Gold/Silver debt free currency as intended, via our Constitution.
