@toyota4life94, actually toyota went bankrupt a few times and was subsidized by the Japanese Government. Stick that in your engine sludge car and drive it home!
u shud hav bought a chevy, most reliable and safe truck, as also giving more for your money. Next time ho with GM, Ford, Or dodge. but remember GM has 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, wat does ur toyo hav?
Honestly i couldnt give a shit lessabout japan and they're economy oursis screwed up and no one is helping us fx it so i say fuck japan damn squnty eye bitches who cant talk straight
People thinking American cars suck is a common misconception, because people don't trade in thier American cars every year, because their no reason to.
I have a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid (bought in 2006) & it has some sort of oil problem. A month and a half after every oil change I check the dip stick & the oil goes from Max to Min, so I have to add oil. It's like it's burning oil or something. I have to take it to the dealer to see what's wrong with it. First I thought that they weren't putting enough oil in at the oil change but that wasn't it.
Proven where and how? What color is the sky in your world? How can you say a full size Toyota pick up is in the same league as an F-150? How can you? Are you blind? Di your momma drop you on your head? Really look at them both and you will see. and oh, by the way thanks for supporting the Japanese economy.
zappa...I don't drive trucks so I'm not an authority on what you say about the f-150. As far as cars go toyota far outclasses domestics in owner satisfaction and well as resale value. Supporting the Japanese? Vehicles are the second most costly investment you make. Why thank Detroit for continually producing products that are inferior to Japanese cars and why pick a vehicle that boxes you in financially?
I hate to say it but wittumy's right. I'll support GM and Ford in their comebacks, but for now, they lost their reputation in America. In 5 years, when I see that the cars they make now are good, that'll be my first investment.
I hate auto dealers too but a couple of questions...what was the recall, why didn't she insist the repair stop right then and there two hours in and re-schedule the recall repair? Of course they were in the wrong to start any repair without informing her but you do have to be able to handle yourself in any business situation.
To cummins...toyota makes incredibly dependable cars as their awards show. Demand our domestic MFG's to do better..that will help our economy in a much better way.
The recall was ball joints, and telling them to stop while the front end was in pieces probably wouldn't have been a smart thing to do. Then the truck would have had to be towed somewhere and repaired. How many repairs can you just stop two hours after they are started? Toyota builds crap compared to ten years ago, you should look up the recall rates in the last ten years. Toyota is not the company it used to be, and they have no loyalty to their customers.
Yeah you're right dickpoet...tough to drive the truck in that shape. I've stopped repairs and had the dealer put things back together before but it took some pretty tough language and I had the time to fight. They have indeed more recalls than ten years ago but still have a real good record. It seems to me the dealer is the one to place most of the blame on...what an ass.
I know what that's like. While fighting seems to be the only way to get things done, a lot of times it makes things worse. That is one reason I don't even bother arguing with incompetent, mean-spirited, weirdos. Really, someone should not have to say anything of that nature to get it done the proper way. I could go on and on. Toyota is pretty infamous for stuff of that nature.
Dickpoet I've worked for five dealers, four of them outrageously poor in all areas. While working for them I had to become an advocate for my customers when they needed service..pretty sad. I myself grew a file containing hundreds of repairs/re-repairs done on my own vehicle. I did get good though & started a company that handles the purchasing of new and used vehicles and advocates for their service needs. It's fun being able to turn my negative dealership experiences into something usefull.
